LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a leading producer of training in North America
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A cover design for the brochur for our new communication seminar (our in-house team will take care of producing the remainder of the brochure).
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Working professionals -- mostly in office, nonprofits, manufacturing and government, or health care environments. All size organizations -- all types of titles.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Designer notes:
Note Im creating these parameters to help you know what I want and what I wont consider. I dont have a lot of rules, but by reading them hopefully youll save yourself some time. So, I urge you to take 2 minutes to read the following pretty simple requests:
Set up for standard 8 x 11 portrait
Looking for a clean, bright, contemporary design with a decent balance of white space.
Do NOT use pics of people on this design please. You can use illustrations of people if you feel you need to but if you do, dont use semi-realistic illustrations, go for exaggerated illustrations that dont really look like people.
The title is the MOST important graphic on the page and the title contains all the words How to Communicate with Tact, Professionalism, and Diplomacy The word Communicate can be larger but its important that all the words be tied together visually so its clear what this topic is about. At least 1/3rd and up to of the page should be devoted to a creative title set-up. Its a long title so youll need that space.
The bullets are necessary to sell the course but they dont need to be large Id rather prefer it if you kept them somewhat smaller and less important copy on the page
Dont use any large area, super-dark shading on the page itll bleed through on our cheaper offset paper and ruin readability of the next page.
I do NOT like a lot of reverse type -- so use it judiciously if it is used at all. Design entries that use nearly all reverse type will not be considered.
If your design is selected youll need to provide a FULLY EDITABLE layered PSD document, list of fonts used, source of graphics used. Im just having you create the cover (and this is not final copy) my internal team will take care of all edits and will finish off the rest of the brochure. Note -- If you create it in Illustrator and/or InDesign youll have to translate it over to a layered PSD document if it is selected. Im just trying to save you some steps here.
Thanks for working on this project! I look forward to seeing your awesome creativity in action!
