LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are an agency representing a Medical Center in Louisiana, near New Orleans. The hospital is in the middle of a major expansion and renovation making it one of the premier medical centers in it's region. While their notable cardiology services are still front and center, they would like to project an image of having more depth of care and demonstrate to the community that they are a comprehensive medical center.
our current logo and website can be viewed here:
We will be redoing our website to fit the new branding/Identity.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a new identity and logo. This logo is going to be the new identity for the Hospital and will appear on everything from our actual physical location to our website and print collateral. While we are not asking for stationary or web design, it is just important to be cognoscente of the fact that this logo and ID will need to translate well across a wide variety of media, big and small.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Is pretty General. We are trying to rebrand the Hospital as being a place for acute care and emergency services, not just a heart hospital. Our logo needs to evoke trust and professionalism, demonstrating that you will be in good hands.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Just some examples of other heart hospitals that have decent logos.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The current logo itself lacks some creativity, however the interplay between the "heart" and the "state of Louisiana" isn't necessarily awful. The text of the logo however needs to exude more professionalism. While we are open to creativity, please refrain from anything too cartoony. The colors are all up for grabs so do not feel limited by the current Red White and Blue. If you decide to pursue Red, White and Blue color schemes, please just be sure to make them darker more subtle tones than the current.
While much can be left to interpretation, the name must remain exactly the same. Louisiana Medical Center and Heart Hospital must appear and in that order.
