What colors do you want to see in your logo and stationery?
Blue (for water) but I will leave it to the designers to determine how to communicate visually the clean-tech, clean-energy nature of our ocean-based business. I mention blue for the water theme that I imagine. I would love to see a design that makes it apparent that the turbine is installed in the water without showing land, as these turbines will often be more than ten miles from the coast, but I don't want to present mulitiple turbines as they generally are spaced about one-half mile apart in the ocean.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo and stationery?
Dark and dreary. We want to show optimism, clean environment, and, perhaps, if it works -- workers, since this new-to-the-U.S. industry has the potential to create tens of thousands of jobs here, similar to the employment numbers that already exist in the European offshore wind industry. If we can't show workers, perhaps a slogan could be worked in such as "Clean tech jobs for clean energy" If you don't work on slogans, perhaps you can design a placeholder for one, which placeholer may or may not be used.
What adjectives should best describe your logo and stationery?
graphically simple, elegant, understated
Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?
initially used on biz cards and letterhead, inlcuding electronic versions. we can modify later when we prepare website
Do you have additional info or links you want to share?
The biz card will initially include just the name of the organization, the president's name and title, phone number and email address, and maybe a slogan. Space should be planned to add office address and website address.
Also, please see above comments and links. Thx!
