LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are looking to upgrade our current website.
We sell only wedding veils. Our current site is an Interspire shopping cart.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are looking for a redesign of the current landing page which we will then integrate into our Interspire shopping cart.
I am trying to communicate quality and honesty but how can I put that in terms of web design?
I want people who come to my site to see that I'm passionate about every single part of the product they buy. I want them see that I have put more thought and effort into making their veil beautiful than anyone else would bother to, because I take pride in my work and value the work of others.
I know that the website is there to sell product but I don't have a particular preference to layout. I want to achieve elegant and uncluttered. I don't want people to be overwhelmed because there's too many things or choices on the same page. I want it to be logical and easy to navigate. I get frustrated when I search for something on google and click into a site that is supposedly relevant and it isn't. I don't want my site to be one of those. There are a million sites that use the words quality, couture or designer and these words have slowly lost all meaning. I want the website to show rather than tell.
The site should be clean and elegant with no more than three pictures. It will have a categories section which contains, Silk Veils, Illusion Veils, Vintage Veils, Birdcage veils, and colour samples.
It will also have a "Join our mailing list" with a box for the client to fill in their First Name and email address.
Along the top there will be the following page links, Home, Contact us, Veil Information, shipping and returns, visit our blog.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Brides to be.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
http://www.unveiledbridaldesigns.com/ind... - This one looks quite elegant which I really liked. Was slightly put off by her bible references but the site was easy to navigate.
http://www.theweddingveilshop.co.uk/inde... - like the layout of a background with the actual site over it. Hate the colours, hate the pictures, hate the pink!
http://www.bridalreflections.com/newyork... - Liked the pictures that take you to different collections
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
