Blue Chip Venture Company
What do you do?
Late-stage venture capital. That is, we raise funds from high net worth individuals and financial institutions and then invest those dollars on their behalf in private companies (primarily technology companies preparing to go public). Our current website is at www.bcvc.com (though the firm's focus has changed somewhat since that was created).
Do you have a desired website screen size?
We're ok with designing for a 1024x768 screen size - perhaps a 960 pixel width; less concerned about the height.
How many pages (maximum of 5) do you need designed?
four - home landing page, the team, the portfolio, and one generic content page we could use as a basis for everything else
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your website design
Both potential investors and potential investees. Either corporations or the relatively high powered, wealthy individual decision makers within the corporations.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design
1) we're a solid partner
2) we're experienced and know what we're doing
3) we're flexible and easy to work with
How is your company different from your competitors?
Small, agile, flexible
Style and Concept
What website design styles do you like?
We'd like it to look corporate, but also relatively modern (as we invest in technology companies and want to convey that we understand them well). At the same time, we'd prefer not to have what we think of as a "web 2.0" design - the standard feel that you see on new web company sites - as we consider it to be too casual. http://www.bain.com/ is a good example of the sort of feel we'd like.
What colors do you want to see in your website design?
Dark blue (consistent/complementary with logo)
What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?
None in particular
What adjectives should best describe your website design?
What content must be included in the website design?
The ultimate sitemap will be similar to www.allosventures.com (though the design should be very different). The pages we'd like to see a design for would be: home landing page, the team, the portfolio, and one generic content page we could use as a basis for everything else.
Also see the current www.bcvc.com site. The Blue Chip logo that's on the front of that sign is our existing (and continued logo). We'd like to move away from the imagery of the team on the front page, though, to more stock photos there and throughout (other than on the "team" page).
Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?
