WebPro provides professional services in the field of internet consultancy, website optimization, training and development. The driving forces are quality, clarity and sincere passion for the web.

How many pages (maximum of 5) do you need designed?

5

Target Audience

What is your industry?

IT

Describe the target audience for your website design

Recruiters, project managers, technical leads, front-end developers. Age usually 20-40, male. Often hard-working people that need their information instantly (and rather aesthetically).

Or, less importantly, (freelance) developers that are passionate about their work (like me) and would like to read about the latest and greatest in front-end technology.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design

quality, clarity, passion

How is your company different from your competitors?

Highly specialized in front-end development (HTML, CSS, Javascript/AJAX). No large company overhead, just me. Especially experienced to setup complex, scalable and maintainable projects, or quickly inject what it takes when the shit has hit the fan (e.g. performance is unacceptable). Proficient in coaching and training other developers.

Style and Concept

What website design styles do you like?

http://webpro.nl is my current website

Below is list of some random websites with a visual design I like. However, I actually don't want to narrow your creativity this much.

http://www.6wunderkinder.com/
http://mrcthms.com/

What colors do you want to see in your website design?

orange, (dark) grey, white

What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?

N/A

What adjectives should best describe your website design?

Reliable, quality, personal, "I want this guy in my team!", web 2.0/3.0 (whatever that means to you..).

What content must be included in the website design?

Nothing what is currently there is absolutely required. Overall, in the current website (which i did myself) i tend to like the logo, the colors and the stand-out texts. But it needs a more colorful, catchy design. Perhaps different typography.

You can absolutely challenge me in terms of using cool new techniques in HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. I prefer designers who are able to do this and this website could also perfectly be a showcase for those skills (you and) I have. Please don't be afraid of cross-browser support or such. I will implement it myself based on your design.

Regarding the 5 pages, I would like to see a design for:

1. Frontpage - immediately see what i do.
2. Profile - to make clear who i am, including photograph of me (can be a new (studio) photo to match your design/ideas! example photo of me included).
3. Contact - for contact page (contact details as currently listed and perhaps a form to quickly send me a message).
4. Regular text - for normal content pages.
5. Article - I want to have a (slightly) separate page layout to have a blog-like section with undated articles with technical stuff i want to share. Overall this should fit within the site, but it should be clear that this is not the actual/commercial part of it.

Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?

Please add icons for linkedin and twitter (at least on frontpage).

Examples of articles with code snippets (for 5. Article page):

My idea: should be a fixed-width font, perhaps different background color or a wrapping border, with some button so people can easily copy-paste the code.

What I like is a "pencil art" (don't know what it's called) of me, to be "integrated" in the background somewhere. Such as on http://snook.ca/ (top right) - this is not a requirement in this project per se, though.

The current content on the site is of varying quality. At least you can use it as example content.
