LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a travel website that is launching soon. We are focused around travel search and providing enough information to users that they can choose the best hotels, restaurants and things-to-do.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We would like visual design for the 5 pages that we have uploaded. the MOST IMPORTANT pages (the two you should focus on first) are: locationSearch and locationDetail. We'll choose the designer based on the design for these 2 pages, and then you can apply the same design to the remaining 3 pages.

Overall, we are looking for a "Visual Design Style Guide" - consistency of text, hyperlinks, buttons and elements across these 5 pages - expressed through the visual designs you submit for these 2 pages.

Things to focus on for the Hotel Search Page

- Look and feel for the Results Filter column

- Look-and-feel of "Check Rates" button

- Look-and-feel of The "#1", "#2" ranking buttons

- The "TripZen Scores" section

- How to show the drop-down in the "Nearby Points of Interest" module.

Things to focus on for the Hotel detail page

- "TripZen Score" box - how to best highlight it and present elements within it.

- How to present the entire hotel metadata/rates section

- "#1" ranking box. - how to present it.

- Tabs in "Traveler Reviews" - how to present them.

For the homepage, we are looking for the following:

- Look and feel of the search boxes

- Icon under "We make Trip Planning a Breeze"

- "Let's go!" button

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

People who are planning travel and are looking for hotels, restaurants or things to do. So people are in a very "transactional" mode, and are looking for clean presentation of the key elements so that they can take a purchasing decision.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Any designs that are clean and functional. Some color is important but the site should look "clean" and "open". Mint.com is a great example. Our site is very similar to an e-commerce site, except in the travel space.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Designs for the locationSearch and locationDetail pages.
