LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
ViaPost allows anyone to send physical post over the internet to be delivered by Royal Mail to any address in the UK.
We currently have two separate websites: www.viapost.com with information about the company. And portal.viapost.com which is where customers upload letters to send.
(As well as uploading to the portal, customers can also send letters using our free downloadable print driver or by using our API.)
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We want to have these as just one website. We have a wireframe design already, we just need the look and feel (fonts, font sizes, buttons, icons and so on.)
The look and feel needs to be consistent with our current logo (which we are not changing) and our downloadable Windows print driver. This is important: we aren't about to change the whole look of the driver, and that is another route into our service which customers can use (you'll understand this more once you've researched our product a bit).
We want a clean, easy-to-read Web 2.0 look.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The website will be used mostly by SMEs and micro businesses, but will also be seen by larger corporations (although they will probably be using our API to actually access the service). So it needs to be professional, clean, nothing that looks *too* crazy, funky, webby.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
www.basecamphq.com/tour (and everything by 37signals. That's what we are really aiming for.)
www.zendesk.com (also love this, we use it ourselves for our own support ticketing)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We don't want too much on the page - just because your page looks simple and nothing special, that might be fine. Don't over-design it.
Must use our existing logo.
Must follow the broad layout of the wireframe - we want to decide the layout and process flow, we just need help with the look and feel.
**We would like clickable, flat HTML pages as the output, please, not just a photoshop file. With flat HTML, we'll then have our own developers write the code behind **
