LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
A client of Digital Beckley wishes to obtain a website that showcases WOAY TV and also to become an exemplary web site for southern West Virginia and the surrounding region. The overall design should be modern in appearance, but easy to navigate.
The title text is WOAY TV.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
MONITOR RESOLUTION CONSIDERATIONS
The GUI should be designed to fit on a 1024px wide screen (working width is about 970+/- pixels).
The site will need to fit on a 1024x768 monitor. Height is not critical, however it is expected the design should accommodate scaling/liquid growth as the client adds content - increasing the perceived height of the design.
COLOR / THEMEING / GUI Elements
The artist is free to provide his/her own color themes. The artist should be as creative as possible while maintaining a less is more viewpoint. A clean modern look is desired. Use of reflections/glossy effects is highly recommended.
Only the stations call letters (WOAY) shall be used. No display of channel numbers shall be used. The call letters may be used in conjunction with the letters TV to complete any title or header graphics. No affiliations shall be used in the design (eg; ABC, etc). The general menu is composed of "Home, National, Regional, Sports, Community" - (the client will be able to add additional items as needed, but this should NOT affect the design, rather the design needs to accommodate dynamic text.
A separate area of the GUI should be designed to accommodate the following 'standard pages':
Weather, FAQ, Contact, Directions, Calendar.
These can be conceits/buttons/calls to action that hyperlink to other pages. (For an example of seeing standard and dynamic menus, please see www.beckleysanitaryboard.org or www.appalachianfestival.net)
A call-to-action for advertising on the web site should be presented. This should not be a major interface component, but just enough so that if someone wants to advertise, they can click the call-to-action. (i.e.; Advertise with Us, etc)
