Describe the target audience for your website design
This community is located in a relatively old section of Dallas known as Lake Highlands Landing. The neighborhood is predominantly young black families and appeals to those working at the elementary school & community colleges within walking distance. There are a lot of children on the property and so a family feeling is necessary to attract the residents we are interested in.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design
1. This is a unique, upscale apartment complex in Dallas, but feels very much like home.
2. We are affordable luxury.
3. Families are welcome as are pets and all types of residents.
How is your company different from your competitors?
We do a unique style of renovation on communities where we bring them to levels they never would have achieved before our presence. Adding Granite counter tops, stainless finish appliances, faux wood flooring, remote controlled lighting and then price these competitively with our more traditional Dallas neighbors. We are often in neighborhoods that are growing or have recently been renewed and are turning around a negative reputation but give these neighborhoods a higher end choice for living and better quality of life.
Style and Concept
What website design styles do you like?
I am a fan of simple design sites for apartment communities. I don't like a lot of text but it is necessary to have some amount of instruction for residents. I like clean lines, simple color patterns & nothing to flashy.
What colors do you want to see in your website design?
The colors we have chosen for the property are:
Yellow - Pantone 115C
Blue - Pantone 329C
Light Grey - Pantone 446C
Dark Grey - Pantone Black 6 C
White - (No Pantone for lack of color)
What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?
Anything that would clash with the above.
What adjectives should best describe your website design?
Simple, clean, easy to navigate, open, bright
What content must be included in the website design?
The site layout should be similar to other apartment communities but essentially it's
Home Page - with specials coupon someone where visible
Find Your Home - List of Floor Plans available
Individual Floor Plan Pages - Display image and links (also a subnav to Find Your Home)
Lifestyle/Amenities Page - Must hold a large list of text
Kids Campus - Video display page (subnav to above)
Area Activities - (subnav to above)
About the Owner - (Subnav to above)
Photos - Thumbnail display w/ caption
Videos - Thumbnail display w/ caption
Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?
The property currently has a website under a different name (Shadow Ridge Village) at ShadowRidgeVillageApt.com - There are floor plan images that need to be colorized on here that you can use for the design & layout. (please colorize all of the floor plans)
Also we have websites for our current properties in the area - TheAlista.com & TheSolaris.com which have a similar navigation to what I layed out above.
