Who are you?
EnRoute Software is part of SA International, a global software company. EnRoute Software is a design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software program used to layout and cut pieces of wood/plastic/foam/metal with CNC routers. Our customers work in the sign making, woodworking/cabinetmaking and metal fabrication industries. Everyone who purchases EnRoute Software products has a CNC machine; otherwise they have no need for our product. Our customers are small business owners who oversee a production machine shop; graphic designers who conceptualize signs or woodcarvings or machinists who set-up/operate the CNC machine in the shop.
Existing website is www.enroutesoftware.com and www.enroutetv.com
What do you need?
New web site for the EnRoute brand that is a Customer Focused web site as opposed to product focused. The customer should immediately identify with their application (sign making, woodworking/cabinetmaking, metal fabrication) or they connect with the benefits gained from using EnRoute (improve, reduce, increase).
We want a content driven web site that has a clean design easy to navigate, easy to read text (ie. a light background /dark type). We have an oval shaped logo and tag line that we want to use. Our signature color is an olive green which we also want to keep and compliment with colors on the attached color palette.
We want to incorporate video into our web site with an entire section devoted to a video library of product demonstration clips. We refer to this section of our web site as EnRoute TV. We would like to expand our video collection, so organization and expandability of clip menu is important and the ability to create custom libraries by sorting videos based on selectable parameters would be ideal.
Social networking is important to our marketing efforts so we want Facebook featured in all the sections of the site. We like the way Facebook posts are featured on this site: http://www.cscfound.org/KatzLecture.aspx
We also want to feature various EnRoute blogs on the home page. The blogs will come from an RSS feed.
Design templates needed:
1) Home page (see attached wireframe sketch)
2) Sub pages: all sub pages should have the same layout but variation of color schemes (from the palette) for Sign Making, Woodworking and Fabrication, and general information
3) An alternative template for EnRoute TV
5) Rollover States
-Banner Rotator or Slide Show (On home page, we would like an image area that can feature stationary images or video clips) An example for functionality http://cometoscotland.com/ or http://caresupportofamerica.com/ -- size, color , style can change.
-A tabbed product page like this example would be helpful http://www.arlon.com/Utilities/Product/P...... . We need the ability to add products and features to the list and expand the number of tabs. One the additional/optional tabs could be video demonstration where we could post video clips of selected product features.
-Search (use of Google Search)
-Email & Print options on each page
Who Is Your Audience?
We want a professional looking web site.
Small business owners or craftsmen who are looking for a solution to a manufacturing problem. They want a software product that will add value to their business by helping them to create a unique product, producing products faster and more efficiently, or by saving time and materials. They need to understand how our software can help them.
We Like These Examples
www.brocade.com - clean/light page. Like the way they put a lot of content in a small space.
EnRoute TV Pages: we like http://wordpress.tv/ or http://tv.adobe.com/ for the way they organize lots of video clips.
http://exhalespa.com/ (like the SPA/CORE/YOGA/HEAL buttons at the bottom that incorporate short text and image would like something like this for the application links on our site (ie Sign making, Woodworking, Fabrication and/or the benefits improve, reduce, increase)
A good example of tabbed product pages http://www.arlon.com/Utilities/Product/P...
