What do you do?
Online marketing agency providing inbound marketing, content marketing and social media marketing services. We sometimes serve as outsourced Chief Marketing Officer for growing client organizations.
Do you have a desired website screen size?
Whatever works best both on desktop screen of any size and on iPads also.
There will be a mobile version for SmartPhones, but I imagine it will show a different design
Our site is Wordpress-based and we have a plug in to optimize the site for SmartPhones
How many pages (maximum of 4) do you need designed?
What is your industry?
Advertising & Marketing
Describe the target audience for your website design
35 year old marketing executives in fast growing, small to midsize B2B technology companies (many of them are software companies) in Silicon Valley, Silicon Beach (Los Angeles area) and New York.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design
Seamless is a very professional marketing B2B agency with a clean, hip and effective look
How is your company different from your competitors?
There are 3 kinds of marketing agencies that we want to differentiate from.
The first has a site, looking like it was designed 10 years ago. The design is dated.
The second has a design that looks kind of OK but it looks like the owner did the design himself and could not afford a real designer (which is what our current design looks like.:)
The third type is a dead serious, heavy duty corporate design, which would be OK if we were accountants. But we are not: we are a marketing agency. While a marketing agencys site does not need to be as creative looking as the site of an advertising agency, it needs to convey a sense of innovation, clarity, while being professional.
Style and Concept
What website design styles do you like?
www.eloqua.com is the one I like best, for the kind of audience that we have
They serve the same audience as us, but with a different offering (they market software)
I think their colors and textures could be a lot better
I could go with a design like this, improved
I also like the feel of these sites (but not as much their specific layout)
www.wello.co, www.salesforce.com, www.kinaxis.com.
What colors do you want to see in your website design?
Blue and orange are our current colors, but Im open to a recommendation for a shift in color. I want anyway to have blue be one of the colors, and to have more than one color. So it could be blue and green, blue and orange, maybe have a third color, etc..
Some grey is fine, like for the bar at the bottom of the screen, as we have now.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?
yellow and large swaths of black
What adjectives should best describe your website design?
Clean, professional, elegant, 2012 look (not 2000..:) stands out, quality design
What content must be included in the website design?
Same content as in our existing site www.seamlesssocial.com.
The general structure of the site will not change. The blocks of content on any given page can be shifted a little bit.
Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?
Our choice of fonts needs to be improved, Im not happy with them. I want more interesting fonts. And they need to work on all computers.
