LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

On Time Air Filters has a very simple mission: giving homeowners and small landlords one less thing to worry about.

Most people with houses or condos have either an A/C unit, a furnace unit, or both, and these expensive systems require routinely changed air filters. Now, if you've been through this drill, you know it's a pain. First, you always forget to replace them on time. And this is bad: for you and your home air, for your energy bills, for the long term lifecycle of your HVAC units, etc. So then you remember, and you have to go to the unit, jot down the measurements on a slip of paper, and go to the hardware store...most often for this one item (or more if you have 2 units). Sometimes the store is out of one of your sizes, and you're back at square one. And so on...

OTAF is going to eliminate this hassle and better ensure that consumers get the associated benefits of getting the right air filter and changing it on the recommended timeline. Simply, consumers will be able to visit OTAF.com, enter the number of filters in their home, name the filters, enter the sizes, and get a routine delivery of THEIR filters (labeled as they've named them for ease on delivery) on the recommended schedule. Simple? Right? Well, yes. And we will have a zippy and fresh and cool ecommerce engine built on the Magento platform to make this all work starting from our brand new home page.

Home page? Oh, we need one.And a few other pages. And that's where you come in.....

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need site pages that track the attached wireframes. The WFs are pretty simple and straightforward.

You'll see the order flow in the core of the pages. You'll see that there needs to be a header. You'll see some home page promo elements.

We need these pages (which are similar to eachother...) plus one "generic" page layout for FAQs, Legal, Info pages, etc... So, pretty much home page, core commerce layout page(s), and a generic page. Track logo colors mainly. Any photography should be young and have a point of view that's smart, convenient, understands what filter is right...etc. This is NOT a Claritin ad about flowers and daffodils...smarter than that....not just pretty people with straight blonde hair enjoying muffins in the sunshine...you know what I mean.

So you get a better flavor of what I do mean...air filters are offered in a few different varieties. They are rated in terms of MERV (an energy and efficiency rating). These tiers are important, and we are going to really make consumers smart about what they pick. We are going to use a guy named "Merv" (funny, right?) as the educational force throughout the site. Think black rimmed glasses and an embroidered name on a doctor's coat...half authority, half odd air/energy professor.... Our site will include real people with our filters and real cats with the "best for pets" version of our filters....the people may be wearing t-shirts that say "merv 8" if that's the filter they're standing with... get the feel??

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

OTAF addresses the busy homeowner who shops in-store for filters on an as-needed basis, but on a less regular schedule than manufacturer recommends

OTAF is not targeting the bulk online consumer OTAF is not targeting the bulk big-box consumer

OTAF is targeting the consumer who can afford this extra level of service to cure her inability to take good enough care of her HVAC units on her own

OTAF consumers...

Have one or two family members working (so convenience is at a premium)
