LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We at e-Me Ventures are trying to bring relevance and meaning to online content. The first step is to create a simple and engaging way to move through content online. We've got a tight deadline, but we hear the www.crowdspring.community can handle it.

We're from Chicago, and are in 3-person start-up mode. This design will help launch our first product. We'll be needing a lot more design work in the future, and hope we can start some good business relationships through CrowdSpring.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a PSD file of the complete website with notes explaining functionality. This will be sent to a WordPress developer to turn into code. We've already spent a lot of time thinking through and creating the PSD, but are not professional designers to make it perfect. Hopefully the www.crowdspring.community can pick up where we left off and finish it quickly.

Basic Elements:

1. Featured Homepage

2. Latest Homepage

3. Topic Selection Homepage

4. Topic Page

5. Content Page

6. Search Page

7. Local Deals Page

8. Lightbox

9. Footer

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience are online savvy people who want a better way to interact with targeted content. Male and Female, predominantly 18-40. We want them to think that we're conscientious of their time, easy to use, engaging, relaxed, deep, and multi-faceted.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

What we like: For content, we like Georgia headlines and Verdana copy. Background should be modern with hints of texture. Buttons should seem almost tactile.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Must have:

Thin or hidden top navigation that brings the content to the very top of the page

Generous padding between elements

Features that are not completely necessary to find and read content are hidden until roll-over (rss button, star ratings, digg, maps, etc)

Typography that calls out important aspects (headline) and diminishes less important aspects (date)

Layers that makes the main content appear to be above the sidebar(s)

A width between 980px and 1024px

We don't want to see: Stale designs, extraneous buttons, complicated navigation
