LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

mowie media is a design firm that works in collaboration with other artists to best achieve what the client is looking for. Our projects range from small businesses, to entertainment websites primarily in the Los Angeles Industry. We have a high standard of visual creativity and are looking to reach out to new designers.

This project is a small website for a "Forensic" neuropsychological services company. Your job is to design the face of this company, which is a part of a larger group called Boston Neuropsychological Services.

Forensic Neuropsychological involves the application of neuropsychological assessment methods to the evaluation of criminal or civil litigants. IE: This is a service that lawyers use in court cases.

The word "Forensic" is taken from "Forensis", the legal forum in Rome where legal proceedings were held. Forensic Neuropsychology involves the application neuropsychological theory, research, methodology, and knowledge to address legal issues. An independent forensic neuropsychological examination, also referred to as an independent medical examination (IME) independent psychological examination, or compulsory examination in some jurisdictions, is performed by a neuropsychologist who is hired as an independent contractor by a third party, such as an insurance company, an attorney, or the court to make a determination regarding neuropsychological functioning.

Referral questions in civil litigation often involve determination of the presence or absence of neurological and/or psychiatric disorders,

Causality related to a specific event or injury, prognosis, medical necessity of treatment and/or disability status.

In criminal litigation, the neuropsychological examination may be used to assist in determining competency to stand trial, issues of responsibility for the crime, or in sentencing/mitigation. The nature of the examination may range from a relatively brief clinical interview to a comprehensive examination that includes extensive psychological or neuropsychological test administration.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a professional website that represents Boston Forensic Neuropsychological services and is easy to access, read and use.

Included in this project are some assets (small & large), a sitemap and rough wireframe. You DO NOT have to follow this layout and may change it around! Yay!

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Boston Lawyers & Attorneys who require Forensic Neuropsychology Services.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Sites the client like:

- http://www.sageschool.org/ in the sense that it has something extra with the drop down boxes as the headers.

- http://www.pdonovanlaw.com because it has the flashes of pictures at the top and for the most part is simple and not cluttered .

- The website they liked best was www.SeattleCustody.com. It is the closest to what was envisioned. The skyline is something that they would like at the top of the page, possible a panoramic view that is slowly moving. It has clean and simple lines giving it a professional look.

Sister sites (Note the use of the color blue)

www.bnsneuropsychology.com

www.memoryevaluation.com

www.bostonneuropsych.com

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Boston skyline should, but does not have to be included. Other forensic brain scan images are also helpful to let the user know they are on a forensic neuropsychology website, but also not necessary.

The client is looking for something professional, clean and functional. Should not be too template-y either. Please show something with a bit of creativity! :)

The layout should include:

1) BNS logo

2) Navigation bar that loads dynamically using CMS. You can use HTML or other fonts.

3) Rotating image/banner. (Optional, add some text over the image to describe the service)

4) Secondary Navigation

5) News blurb, which can link to another page

6) Links blurb, which can link to another page

7) Main area to include welcome paragraph or other information.

Please use "Lorem ipsum" for dummy text. Thank you!
