LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
N2TEC Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the wealth creation process to underserved areas of the United States through technology-based entrepreneurship.
One of the primary missions of the institute is to encourage and develop High Performance Communities (HPCs) based on Seven High-Performance Community Action Strategies: connectivity, entrepreneurship, job growth from within, global awareness, industry clusters, inter-firm collaboration, and regional collaboration. In short, we help rural regions develop the skills needed to foster new technology businesses and connect on a global level.
You can see our current site here: http://www.n2tec.org
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We want to update the site to make it more current, clean, easily navigated, and scalable. We would like the design to enable growth in features and functions. The look and feel of the site should reflect the seriousness of our mission but also the optimism we have for the future of Rural America. The site will incorporate quite a bit of live text for SEO and we would like a consistent look throughout the site.
Specifically, we will need a home page and a style guide that we can use to build the rest of the pages. Style guide should include header and footer treatment, page background, font styles, and the different module treatments. We currently have a logo, but we are not against changing the logo to make it fit better with the design. We are not tied to any color pallet
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
People who come to our site are generally professionals who are involved in economic gardening or economic development in their regions. We will also get entrepreneur students wanting to participate in our summer programs such as the Technology Accelerator. Both groups want to find what theyre looking for quickly.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
http://www.innocentive.com/ - very clean and airy look and feel, professional
http://www.idealistconsulting.com/servic... - professional, nice color pallet
http://www.kompakt.cz/ - a little more friendly
http://www.english360.com/ - professional, nice layout
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Ideally, we would like to use our existing logo (attached) or some slight modification of the logo. It should include the elements on the existing site, but layout of those elements can and should be changed (http://www.n2tec.org)
