We're MeetMoi: the mobile matchmaker. We make it easier for people to meet in real-life.

Once you've signed up through our app or mobile website, we use our new technology to update your location in real-time. As you move around the city, we search for great people around your actual location that we want to introduce you to. When a match is nearby, we send an alert to your phone. If you like what you see, you can choose to connect with that person in real-time. If the conversation continues to go well, we make it easy for you to meet in person!

Let me introduce you to Jamie.

Jamie is 26, lives in New York, and is an account executive with BBH. She graduated from American University and is having fun discovering all the new bars in the city with her old sorority sisters. Working on a big account, she spends long hours in the office and doesn't want to commit herself to a serious boyfriend (just yet). But, she does want to meet new people that she can have fun with her goal for the summer is to try out every burger at the newest gastropubs in her neighborhood.

She's tech savvy and technology matters to her. She wants to have the coolest phone in fact, she was the first of her friends to buy an iPhone. She's always downloading the newest apps. And being time constrained, she looks to technology to make her life easier. Her dream is that one day everything can be automated for her!

Born and raised on social networks, she's comfortable with having her profile out there. She updates her status when she's had a bad day at work, checks into Foursquare when she's at the gym, and catches up on Twitter in the cab. She has a lot of friends on Facebook and even has friends with whom her only contact has been virtual.

When choosing brands to buy or align with, she likes to give her support to the less mainstream and less established brands. Shes more likely to get coffee from the Mud Truck or the new cafe that offers Stumptown coffee rather than Starbucks. And shed rather put together an outfit from pieces bought from a thrift store, American Apparel, or Urban Outfitters than The Gap or J.Crew. She orders her groceries from Fresh Direct and goes out of her way to get produce from Trader Joes in Union Square.

In terms of dating, she doesn't feel a strong brand relationship with the current online dating players. She feels that they're more for an older generation, and an outdated way of connecting with people. She finds the excessively wholesome and earnest atmosphere of a Match.com or eHarmony a turn-off. And with her hectic life, she just doesnt have time to manage her profile and spend nights penning awkward emails. She likes the snarkiness of Okcupid and the edginess of Nerve.com.

How is your company different from your competitors?

Before we came around, dating had become almost as much work as balancing a career. From having to spend hours writing the perfect About Me section to having to shift through pages and pages of profiles, people were spending hours in front of the computer hoping to find new people to talk to.

But in reality, you don't need to shop on the web to find new single people. Attractive, single people cross paths many times per day, but social conventions make it hard to make a personal connection. There are interesting single people on every crowded subway platform and in every airport lounge, not to mention in coffee shops, bars and the office down the hall. But without impeccable timing, x-ray vision and a lot of chutzpah, it's very hard to meet them.
