LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are Market Maker Partners (MARKET MAKERS). We have been in business for eight years, are a small company (5-6 professionals) and we work with high-technology startups who are bringing their products to market and who need help with CEO, Sales, Marketing, Market Development, Business Development, or other management functions. The key is that, when in these roles, we are driving a company's revenue plan. Sometimes we perform the executive (for example V.P.Sales) functions as contract employees, sometimes we work in the background or team with employees. Whatever it takes, our clients hire us to figure out how to get some revenue, how to sell some of the new product, typically Internet-based or IT services, computer equipment, enterprise software, or digital media. Typical scenario is high-tech startup has product nearly ready for market, but forget to hire PR, marketing, bus dev and sales employees prior to launch. Or they scrimped so tightly, were so understaffed, under-talent, under-budgeted that they failed and have to back up and try again. We bring value because it takes time and money to assemble a professional executive team to make a revenue line, and we are cheaper and faster. We are all experienced, with strong track records, so performance risk is much less too, and most of our clients can't afford permanent, full-time employees with our experience. So...they get stronger talent, better odds of successful product launch, cheaper, and faster. We are usually hired by the board of directors and/ or investors, and we usually work 3-9 months, interim, until the company has some revenue momentum and we can turn the work over to a permanent executive team.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a logo that we can use on all marketing materials, but most especially in a website banner. We would also like this logo and banner to incorporate colors that would work for all our media too. I have enclosed an example (Granada Partners) of the kind of thing we need -- logo and how we plan to use it on our website. You can also check our very primitive website at www.channelgroupcorporation.com to see how we sell represent ourselves. We have two DBAs: Market Maker Partners and Channel Group Corporation, with two websites, and we would like to use the same logo (with the different names) for both. THIS PROJECT IS FOR MARKET MAKER PARTNERS/ MARKET MAKERS.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
High-tech investors, board directors, operating management of high-tech startup companies. Age 40-65, mostly male, very successful, confident, very tech-savvy, well educated, rich, experienced entrepreneurs. We often know them, at least once removed, and are usually strongly recommended to them. We will not get website traffic or get clients through a website, typically we are referred into projects by current and former clients, and the prospective clients want to see our website as part of the screening process. We want our audience to be reassured by that exercise.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like the idea of a logo including our name as Market Makers, incorporating our message or messages which are Turning Technology to Business and Taking Business to Revenue. We think that traditional colors would work best, and bold but nonspecific graphics, something that conveys success, momentum, breakout, turnaround. Our business is turning failure into success, so we like the idea of hammering, forging, something industrial or at least conveying heavy work and a primary result. We understand it is difficult to capture the nature of our business so we will be happy to keep it generic. See the Granada Partners example enclosed, we would like something crisper and livelier than this but it is close in concept (similar combination of colors, dual use of graphic, typeface, etc. We like the look of it and would like it better if it had a simple, powerful graphic incorporated.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We probably will not like pastel colors, any modern graphics, fancy typefaces, or obvious devices such as arrows on graphs. We must have something solid and professional, not too clever or light.
