LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
lawgica.com is an ecommerce start-up that will bring efficiency and transparency to the market for legal services. Right now most people find lawyers through word of mouth, yellow pages, or some electronic listing/matching service. None of these methods allows clients to compare attorneys based on price and quality. Our website will correct these inefficiencies through the use of innovative technology thereby enabling people to find the right lawyer to handle their legal matter.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The website will consist of two major sections: (1) clients; and (2) attorney. These devision into two sections can be reflected in a tabular design by havig two tabs: one of clients and another one for attorneys. The home page will be for clients. In other words, the default tab to which the site opens up is Clients tab. The other tab next to it that says Lawyers is for lawyers to click to get to their section of the site. There should also be the following buttons on top Sign In and Register.
Page should have three sections which describe the three main features of the site and each will contain a link that the user can click to make use of such feature. We were thinking of having three tabs with a descriptive sentence above each tab. One tab would be the default tab on the left and there would be text underneath each tab and a link underneath the text. However, we are open to other designs as long as they make sense and describe the three features.
We like our logo and the color scheme that is on our business cards.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
There are two target audiences: consumers of legal services and lawyers who provide legal services.
The main target audience includes consumers (private individuals) and small and mid-size businesses who are looking for a lawyer. Some people may need to do a closing on their house, others may be facing a legal problem that will require litigation; a small business may need a lawyer to help them with a business transaction. They will be able to find lawyers on our website to handle matters large and small, simple and complex.
The second target audience is lawyers who are looking for clients. They may be new graduates or seasoned veterans. We are primarily seeking to attract small firms and solo practitioners looking for additional clients.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
If possible, the website should imply technological advancement, transparency and ease of use. It should be clean, modern and forward-looking. After all, we are trying to bring the legal services industry into the new millennium.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We are not an artsy website and so the design should be driven by functionality. We also dont want anything thats over the top or is inappropriate for a website that people use to look for lawyers. The website must look professional without being boring.
We want something that looks innovative.
We dont like any busy, clattered design. We want modern, clean look and feel.
