SnapTint Window Tint
What do you do?
We are an online store specializing in window tint products for home, automotive, and office usage. Window tint reduces solar energy from entering a residence or car by up to 60% as well as blocking 99% of UV radiation.
Window tint products help people conserve energy by dramatically reducing air conditioning costs prompting US government to give tax credits for installation of window film in homes.
Traditionally, window film has only been installed by professional window tinters. SnapTint breaks the model by making professional window film available to consumers everywhere to purchase. Our window tint kits are pre-cut to the exact curves of your car windows or the exact size of the windows on your home.
Do you have a desired website screen size?
1024 width would be appropriate.
How many pages (maximum of 5) do you need designed?
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your website design
The audience is split. People that buy car tint vary from families whose babies hate the sun shining in their eyes to tuners and grease monkeys who customize their own rides with window tint.
The home tint market includes responsible home owners seeking to reduce their AC expenses as well as cash in on the window film tax credits.
The people that purchase office tint are home builders, shop owners, strip-mall owners.
Our design needs to feel like a modern website store that caters to broad set of demographics (rather than niche) like Amazon or Apple Store.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design
1. We are a green product company. Window film is a fraction of the cost of new windows. Unlike money spent on AC, window film lasts for 15 years or more.
2. This is a fresh modern product. Most people buying window film do not know about it recently.
3. It is an easy decision. Although there are many types of films, SnapTint tries to break it down so it is easy for consumers to buy, install for themselves. We have complete video instructions to facilitate.
How is your company different from your competitors?
We truly try to cater to the amateur tinters rather than the professionals tinters. Home tint is quite an easy weekend project for anybody to do. All you need for tools we provide with a toolkit. Only chemicals needed are baby shampoo and water.
Style and Concept
What website design styles do you like?
We like the ultra clean, large photos, product-centric feeling of Dwell Studios:
We like the attitude and hipness, font usage, large photos of:
But in some ways we are an educational product site. We have to teach people about the benefits of window film as well as sell product.
How to accomplish this?
Many of these sites, the primary goal is just product.
What colors do you want to see in your website design?
We had a new logo designed for SnapTint. It is primarily in Blue and Green. We wish for the design to be compatible to the logo. New accent colors can be added and used according to the designer's judgement.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?
None. Designer's judgement.
What adjectives should best describe your website design?
Fresh - we are a modern green product, large refreshing images
Informative - Many users have no idea about the window tint product, we want to educate them with captivating images and text about the uses of the product.
What content must be included in the website design?
We imagine the 5 pages to be:
1. Homepage - http://www.snaptint.com
2. Home Tint Category page - http://www.snaptint.com/home-tint.html
3. Car tint Wizard Page - http://www.snaptint.com/car-tint.html
4. Product Listing Page - http://www.snaptint.com/home-tint-solar....
5. Product Listing Page -
Please use existing content on website, if new content needed please just use "Ipsum Lorum" text to hold space, or make something up. :)
Only new thing to consider is that we want to break out "decorative film" into its own category out of the existing "Home Tint" category. We also want "Paint Protection" to be its own category too. So homepage design and navigation should reflect the additional categories.
Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?
So the designer understands the product SnapTint sells. Please take a look at these links:
