LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

The best gourmet products are not produced in mass, but rather by by tiny artisan producers around the world who put serious pride into the quality of their products. Unfortunately if you aren't visiting village markets around the world, it is nearly impossible to know about all the goodness that's hiding out there.

We are changing that.

The gourmetKAZOO platform does a few things:

1. makes it ridiculously simple for food & drink artisans to create online shops using all sorts of social media to help them sell their products

2. creates one awesome marketplace full of interesting regional gourmet products by linking together the gK stores of artisans from around the globe

3. brings lots of value adds for shoppers and artisan vendors alike (secure transaction processing, best price guarantee, product ratings from past buyers, artisan & foodie blogs, etc.)

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Creativity please! You'll see from our current beta website that we are lacking in that department.

Rockin' homepage:

Most importantly, we need a captivating homepage so foodies get our concept straight away and cannot resist but to start browsing, finding & buying interesting products.

The homepage should be as clean as possible.

It should be obvious that there is a world of great products waiting to be discovered at the cross section of any country of origin / product category combination.

It probably also highlights a few products to give people the flavor for the possibilities & start encouraging click-throughs. It might also have a place to show-off some of the community interaction taking place (latest blog entries, product reviews, comments, etc.). Aside from the focus on browsing for products, there should be a menu item somewhere to see the community page that would aggregate all the activity taking place. Would like to keep footer menu items... although all formatting is fair game for changes.

Finer detail browsing control should somehow be possible after a top level selection..... product categories each have several subcategories, countries of product origin each have regions underneath. Some products may be "tagged" (e.g. organic, glucose free). Artisans define which countries they can ship their products to... It would be great for shoppers to have an intuitive & visually pleasing way to refine their searches on these elements all while keeping the focus on the products and getting click throughs to the individual product pages.

Really need help on the "my products" page making it obvious that each product has it's own page underneath where you can order from. Today there aren't enough click-throughs to the detail pages underneath.

We will want to match the artisans stores, community page, + all static pages to your amazing homepage design.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

International Foodies. Fine food lovers from around the world (launch focused primarily on Europe followed by N. America, English speakers for now). Health conscious, . People looking for cool gourmet gifts. Young professionals. Trendy.
