Nationwide Packaging Services, Inc.
What do you do?
We provide packaging services mainly to Fastener Distributors and Manufacturers (nuts, bolts, screws, etc.) as well as Department of Defense contractors. To give you a visual of the service we offer, say you buy a desk from Staples and you have to assemble it. In the box you'll find a plastic bag full of all the nuts, bolts and screws (fasteners) to complete the assembly. That's what we do. My customers whether a fastener distributor or manufacturer will send me all the fasteners in bulk and we package it or "kit" them as required. Once all the kits are done we send them back and they toss the bag of fasteners in the box with the product.
Do you have a desired website screen size?
I'm not familiar with the lingo but I prefer looking at websites that are full screen rather then just taking up the center 1/3 of the screen. I'm not sure what size that would be.
How many pages (maximum of 5) do you need designed?
What is your industry?
Fastener Distributors, manufacturers, Smaller Department of Defense contractors
Describe the target audience for your website design
I advertise in www.LINKMAGAZINE.com Basically everyone who advertises in this publication is a potential customer for me.
My company and the companies I deal with are industrial and their websites tend to be generic looking. I was hoping for something fresh, even a little bold. The target audience would be Fastener Distributors and manufacturers as well as Small Department of Defense contractors and general hardware manufacturers/distributors.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design
Automated for fast, accurate packaging services. We've been in business for 18 years. Integrity and honesty. We can handle short run (small) orders as well as orders in the millions of bags. Packaging is our ONLY business.
How is your company different from your competitors?
All we do is the packaging. Most of my competitors are Fastener Distributors as well and the packaging services they offer is just a side business. They sell the fasteners as well which could be a conflict of interest. When my customers send me an order they know they don't have to "hide" any information regarding who their customer is. Many times their customers will drop ship material directly to me and then we even drop ship the products directly to their customers. We also have A LOT of packaging equipment and stock a lot of polybags in various sizes. Therefore we get jobs done quickly, many times over night.
Style and Concept
What website design styles do you like?
I would like something not so generic looking. Something fresh and colorful. The landing page has to be exciting enough for them to continue browsing the website.
What colors do you want to see in your website design?
Welp, I'm colorblind (literally) so I'm counting on a professional web designer to use her or his best judgement. I've been very happy with previous CS projects.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?
What adjectives should best describe your website design?
Fast, Accurate packaging services I preach a lot. The design should reflect that. Honesty and integrity. I want a fresh, modern design maybe incorporating flash design but not too crazy.
What content must be included in the website design?
I created my current website: nationwidepackaging.com through Vistaprint. Horrible! I have no creative talent at all. The content there is all important however, again, I need someone more creative to lay it out better. I will add files with content for you all to peruse.
I'm learning about SEO. I'm hoping to have this new website built with SEO in mind.
This is what I need for the new website:
Page 1 : Landing Page-Modern, fresh, custom, and professional. (not generic/template looking)
Page 2: Our Packaging Service Description Page with pictures and big buttons that will pop up a description of each picture.
Page 3 : "Request a Quotation" page. I will add content. I need this to have some sort of safe guard so that real potential customers use it and not competitors just looking for my pricing. "* required" fields etc.
Page 4 : About Us Page. Top half to include content on how I got started and bottom half to include a cool map with driving directions linked to my address.
Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?
I want my logo incorporated in the website but was hoping the creative could "tweak" it a bit with color maybe. I like the general appearance but its missing something. I plan on making a business FB page so FB and Linkedin buttons should be included.
