About Your Company
We are a site that provides the latest news for Riot's new game Valorant! Check us out here: https://runitback.gg
Colors to Explore
Space on the site for advertisements to appear.
Embedded video from sites like YouTube and Vimeo.
This is the page that shows up when you're on https://runitback.gg ... it has the news in the middle and a sidebar that shows the latest events, and latest vods. We also want to add a container that shows where they can follow us on Discord + Twitter + Reddit as well. See the live site for what it currently looks like!
- Article page
Go to the home page (https://runitback.gg) and click on any article. The article page that displays the actual contents of the news article is what this page is. Basically it's where the articles for our news site lives. The inspiration we took for our current design: https://watch.lolesports.com/article/introducing-summoner%E2%80%99s-rift-arena-banners/bltfed23f2200f71ae7
- Events page
Go to https://www.runitback.gg and click on "events" at the top. Basically a list of all the upcoming events, you can see the live site for what information is passed. We also have a sidebar where you can see the latest news and vods, just like the other pages
https://www.runitback.gg/ and click on "VODS" at the top. This is a page where players can see vods for the latest tournament games. For a similar example from another site, see here: https://watch.lolesports.com/vods/midseason-cup/midseason_cup_2020
We want a page to display a player's Stats once Riot releases Valorant's API! We can't implement this now, but having the design now makes it easier. It will be a Dashboard where you can search a user up, and see their stats from Valorant. The stats can be blank for now if you're not farmiliar with Valorant, but just use some placeholder information :) For examples, see - https://u.gg - https://na.op.gg/
Measures of Success
Increased user retention and a lot more traffic.
Top 3 Things
Easy to read, authority in the scene, easy on the eyes
We plan on interviewing a lot of professional teams and players, as well as posting high quality news. We want the site to be easy to read, and we want it to convey a sense of authority and trust.
We coded the live site (https://runitback.gg) really quickly in 1 week, knowing that the design would suck. We just wanted something working so that it was easier for designers to make something for it!
We are using Google's https://material-ui.com/ - so it's a big bonus for us if your design incorporates things we can easily make using Material UI for the frontend.
We are competing with the following sites:
So we definetly want something that looks way better than those!
