Industrial Credit Union is a small CU in far-north Washington state. They serve a primarily Blue-collar membership whose average family income is $60-$75k and average age is 30-39. Being small lets them stay pretty nimble and attentive to their member's needs. Here are some words that describe how their members perceive them:
Helpful, Reliable, Ethical, Small, Responsible, Members come first
They want a clean, fast, informative feel to their new site. They are in a hyper-competitive market for financial institutions where none of them have differentiated themselves very well, so they are in a good position to stand out. Here is a list of their competitors:
http://www.wecu.com/ (main CU competition, about 2/3 bigger than Industrial Credit Union)
http://www.peoplesbank-wa.com/
http://www.bannerbank.com/Pages/default....
Of the sites our company, Trabian, has designed in the past, this is a list of the ones Industrial Credit Union liked the best:
http://hvfcu.staging.trabian.com/
http://belvoir.staging.trabian.com/
http://altura.staging.trabian.com/
These sites have the kind of clean, fast and consistent look we are going for in the design for Industrial CU. You will notice in the competitor sites above that while there are a few dominant graphic elements, there is little consistency in the look throughout the site. Hopefully you'll notice that is not the case with the second list of sites we've produced. Please consider that in your design. That alone will go a long way toward differentiating them in their market.
You will find attached the wireframe of the homepage as well as Industrial CU's logo. The wireframe should be pretty straightforward. It shows where everything goes. The next part of this document is a list of elements you will see referenced in the wireframe and a couple examples of each as they have appeared on our other sites. That will give you a good idea for formatting and content.
The wireframe and logo are attached separately as well as a PDF of this same brief only with examples of interface elements we need, which is important.
