LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are two young professionals and we are creating a twitter-like user generated content site. The site allows professionals to anonymously and freely express how they really feel at work. The site will allow a person to write about what they want to say to a coworker, boss, etc. but cant because work is typically a politically correct environment. Users may share a story from work that made them laugh, sad, or frustrated even furious. People visiting the site can view other peoples post and feel reassured that there is somebody else in the world going through the same or similar experience, while also allowing people visiting the site to anonymously post and share their own stories.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for a site that can attract users, is easy to use, and doesnt require a lot of text to explain the purpose of the site.

In particular, we are looking for a website with the following:

Home page design

Inner page design

Links on the home page will include (Home, About Us, Top 10 [yearly, monthly, weekly], Store). The creative does not have to design each of the pages, simply include them in the navigational bar on the home page design and inner page design

We would also like a Logo but havent decided on a final name for the site, so preliminary sketches are welcomed if inspired

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is young professionals both male and female between the ages of 18-35. Our target audience will look at our site as a place they can retreat to vent their frustrations about their everyday work life without having to worry about being politically correct. The target audience can use the site to either feel reassured that someone else out there is going through the same thing they are or to tell their own story about a colleague/boss that is annoying them (whether it be chewing to loud or asking about the cover sheet on the TPS reports!) We expect that our target audience will most likely be at work either behind a desk or in a cubicle when they access the site. Although its always possible they can be working from home or accessing via a blackberry or other handheld device.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

1. http://www.textsfromlastnight.com/

Text message from last night suits its audience, we are looking for something similar in regards to the layout but the design should be geared specifically to the young professional The design should be inviting and enticing for users to leave their own posts and read comments others have left. Each users post will be about 125-160 characters and there should be 10-20 posts per page.

2. http://mylifeisaverage.com/

My life is average is another site that suits its audience, but not the young professional target audience like ours. However, this site should give the creative a better idea of what type of site ours will be.

In addition to textual submissions and content you see on these two websites, wed like users on our site to have the ability to upload pictures. A user should be able to upload a funny picture from their office or a sketch they drew during a boring business meeting.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Our design absolutely must have a place where users can easily post their content, either text or a picture/image. It must also have a listing of content that other users have posted. As far as the color, fonts, etc we are leaving that up to the creatives.
