The Success Group
What do you do?
The Success Group is one of Ohio's most influential public affairs and lobbying firms. We open doors for our clients and build relationships with elected officials and decision makers. We devise political strategies for our clients government affairs needs, manage expectations of government and our clients understanding of government, and educate decision makers on our clients collective goals, ideas and beliefs. For more than 25 years our integrity, political savvy, high standards of client service, as well as our deep knowledge of the workings of government have helped our clients achieve their goals.

What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your website design
Elected officials, prospective clients, peers
All will be highly educated, professional, high-profile and in the government/public affairs industry.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design
That we are different than other government affairs/lobbying firms. We dont want our website to be stale with statehouse photos, etc. We are hip, intellectual, modern and or progressive in our thinking and style. We want something that says The Success Group when you open up the site.
How is your company different from your competitors?
Were more familial. We work as a team. We all are high level professionals with extensive government experience. We get results with integrity. We are well thought of and highly regarded. We dont take advantage of government. Not that all other lobbying firms do these things, but we are better at these than most in our opinion.
Style and Concept
What website design styles do you like?
There is not specifically a style we like as much as we want something that pops and is different than other government affairs firms or law firms. Clean, modern and creative.
What colors do you want to see in your website design?
Our logo has been blue for years... unless someone wants to incorporate our logo in the top page and change that as well. I would say keeping some blue would be good. Otherwise we have no parameters.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?
What adjectives should best describe your website design?
Progressive, Smart, Artistic, Fun, Informative
What content must be included in the website design?
We dont want to stifle creativity. The front page of our site could be as simple as our name, graphics only or a pencil drawing of the statehouse rotunda. We had a few early concepts where we use negative space of black and white to highlight our logo or the Ohio statehouse rotunda. Another idea was to have a door from the statehouse to emphasize we open doors, etc. I leave this to the creative people responding to the project.
Main content areas of the site include:
Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?
These are Ohio Statehouse photos that could be used for inspiration. But they should be used in a modern, creative way. Different from other lobbying or law firms in the area.
We have attached our logo, but it does not necessarily need to be used as a main graphical element in the design. We also like the idea of using negative space creatively to define objects, but this again is not critical. We are looking for an original but professional design.
