LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Free. Fun. Fabulous.
Couture Society is a social-shopping website based around the users interacting with the shop search engine content.
Think of us as Amazon.com's fashionable little sister with better style.
We don't want to overwhelm the user. We want to be known for the three things listed above:
1. Best shopping search engine (largest and easiest).
2. Enriching user experience & community.
3. Customized shopping. (First EVER)
Our number one competitor will be ShopStyle.com, so we really need to outdo them in the design department! Use them as something to contrast the site against. There site is a bit boring and stale looking. We aim for sleek, vibrant, chic, timeless, clean, easy, and overall fabulous.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
I have attached the wireframes for the site design. Each one of these pages MUST be designed and fleshed out as well as the additional Item Page Wireframe attached and the Luxe List and Directory (don't have wireframes, just need matching directory search results page and then a top 10/top 100 page [I've attached an apple style way of sorting through that type of content - we need something like that, but more like 700 pixels in height]).
The positioning of the content isn't up for creative interpretation, unless you see a huge advantage in going in another direction.
Before diving in too deep developing the wireframes - we would REALLY like to see what you did with the index page so we can get a feel for how the rest of the design would flow through out the site. We are eager to give feedback.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Affluent Tech-Savvy Women ages 18-35. We want users to feel like the site is easy to navigate and yet can quickly realize it's power. Simple is great, but overly simple needs to be avoided. The right refining designs should be able to allow for enough white space to give breathing room and keep the eyes focused on the content of the site.
Keep in mind the overall direction of sleek, simple and stylish and make sure that it is on that track. We want to make sure that we are building something that is very close to being timeless and will work as a platform to showcase the product, and not be a distraction to the user.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I have also attached the original version I did of the site. Overall, I liked where it was going, but it was a bit chaotic and needed to not look exactly like Mogulus (which it did). We really wanted to take the beauty of Mogulus and Hulu and apply it to the fashion world. We also want this to feel a little bit more web-app like than normal sites.
