LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We're a solutions company providing software integration for various web 2.0 and ecommerce technologies. We're lean, young and from Chicago so we want to reflect that. We are far from being bloated. We've used Crowdspring for a couple of logos on internal projects. We loved the entries and are back at the plate for a crack at the website. We're doing a big push in 2009 to get the name out. Blogs, email campaigns, and press releases will be done, but we need a stronger corporate website to be the landing page.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We've been in business for over two years and decide to revamp the website. We have content and logos to port over, but that's it. I attached a screenshot (not the correct company logo, but the colors match) of the current layout. I also attached a screenshot of the different content areas that we have for almost every page. Please don't think our screenshot is something you have to base it off of. We are craving for fresh ideas!
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our focus is on mid-market eCommerce companies. Not the Amazons of the world, but our clients range from small, growing eCommerce sites to well-established, recognizable ones. We don't want to scare off customers thinking we're unprofessional, but we don't want to appear stuffy as well. We also want to start driving traffic from Google and Yahoo so a spider-friendly should also be
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Fonts: Trebuchet, sans-serif fonts
Color: Blue and light blue is our logo and that is one of our logos on the screenshot. We recommend introducing color that works well.
Style: Classy & Fresh.
We don't want a typical Web 2.0 site since our website isn't an application. It's a corporate website so we want to keep it looking fresh and classic (at the same time!) for the next couple of years.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Easily viewable content. We don't have much content on the site, but the content we do have we want to communicate clearly.
