LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
InspectTech produces software to help inspect and manage critical infrastructure. Over 90% of our work relates to bridges; however we also handle other items such as culverts, tunnels, retaining walls, sound walls, parking garages, overhead signs, etc. . We customize our core software to meet the exact needs of customers who range from State Departments of Transportation, County and City Public Work Departments, Turnpikes/Toll Roads, Transit Systems, Railroads, and Engineering Consulting Companies. Our software basically serves as the primary tool that these entities use to organize and collect most of the information related to their structures.
We are in the process of branding our core products under the name of StructureSuite, with modules for each of the asset-types that we provide. The current logo for StructureSuite is provided. This something that we currently do not stress, however we may like it included in a basic way. This way our customers and visitors to the site can be introduced to it. The StructureSuite logo should not be very prominent or used at all... perhaps it is used on just some sub-pages like the Products page.
Our current web-site we made ourselves off of a template about 4 years ago. It has done OK but we want to step up to a very nice professional site. The current website is http://www.inspecttech.com/ . We also have an informational website we made for one of our products at http://www.bridgeinspect.com/, but we do not really like or use this that much.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We would like a clean, professional looking home page and a common template for our sub-pages. We have a rough idea of a possibility and have sketched this out We have included these designs in our sketches that have been attached. The following are sub-pages that we need: products, services, case studies, support, about. I would anticipate that there might be 1-2 templates that any particular sub-page might use.
We expect as a result of this project to have graphics to be able to make the webpage. This would be provided by the front main page and 2-3 templates for standard sub-pages. A good color palate should also be developed to use throughout the site. Ideally we would also get a CSS style sheet. We may even be interested in using the selected designer to help with all or parts of the coding and additional work we have for product specific pages.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Engineers and other transportation professionals
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
There isnt a particular design that we really like most of all. However, there are components that we do like from the following items listed.
www.mbakercorp.com We like the top banner that has rotating pictures and a set text area with a target message. We also like the color coordination between the different parts.
http://www.bossintl.com/products.html - This page is a bit busy, but we do like some concepts for the sub-page such as this one with the side bar information: links to any further sub-pages, quick blurbs to reinforce key concepts.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We want a website that re-enforces our image as a well-respected leading company which provides software for bridge and structure inspections and management. The main page should have links to the sub-pages and some other key items: testimonials, basic intro text, and a small newsletter sign-up option.
We are providing the following documents:
- Sketch of potential main page
- Sketch of potential sub-page
- Logo specifications
- GIF of logo
- GIF of Structure Suite Logo
- Bridge software product brochure
- Links to some bridge pictures and people using the software http://picasaweb.google.com/usbridges/Br...
We have tens of thousands of pictures of neat bridges and other structures in our software. We can always help go through them and find the best ones. It would be nice to be able to use these in the website on the top banner or other places.
Note: Even though we have provided some sample sketches please DO NOT feel limited to the constraints they impose. These were just our initial rough ideas. We may end up going with something very different.
