LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Jordan Lawrence (www.jordanlawrence.com) helps companies assess their risks related to records-handling practices, benchmark them against proprietary world-class benchmarks and then show them where their risks are and how to fix them.

Our technology-driven consulting work covers records that exist ANYWHERE in an organization, not just on paper or on servers. It is critical that we quickly communicate to site visitors that can manage records on laptops, desktop computers, flash drives, magnetic tapes, email, etc.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

First, we want to re-design our website (www.jordanlawrence.com) so that it looks more modern. Wed like both a HOME page design and an INSIDE page design. Weve included a few websites below to give you an idea of sites we think are well designed.

Secondly, wed like some simple, non-cartoonish illustrations to appear on the HOME page that will depict the different types of records and various media we can handle, as mentioned above. Were looking for illustrations as opposed to photos, and wed like clear and simple representations of each object. The uploaded document entitled JL_Illustration.pdf shows photos of the different objects wed like illustrated and the arrangement of the final graphic were envisioning.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Very senior attorneys who work within corporations and have to deal with records production and consequence issues and very senior IT executives who are trying to identify all the junk records they have so they can appropriately dispose of them and cut costs and legal risks.

This is a professional audience and the design work must be simple, elegant and not cutesy!

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

http://ediscovery.alltop.com/

The Alltop site is simple and clean. It really seems to lend itself to pure access to research articles. They use varying colors (depending on the topic you select) and they all look nice. (Their home page is too simple for what we are doing.)

http://www.electricpulp.com/

Like their simple format above the black box. Good gray chalkboard look and neat white-on-reddish logo. Also like the navigation buttons at the top right.

http://www.sonos.com/support/

Like their site although its way busier than we need. On this page, really like their icons for FAQs, downloads, Policies, Forums, Documentation, and Contact Support.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/795/Defa...

Site is busier than we would want, but like their icons too. Also, could use this idea for FORUMS as a way to allow subscribers to post questions about our topics to other subscribers for insights and ideas.

http://jott.com/default.aspx

Like the simple format and friendly colors. Good use of icons.

http://www.gotvoice.com/

Like the simple format and friendly colors. Good use of graphics to help explain things.
