LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Were reorganizing a web site to focus attention on blog entries and longer articles. We need just ~1.5 pages of layout and styling for the new design.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Page #1 is our landing page. We have 3 columns on the site. Weve provided a very rough mockup as a starting point. We want you to create your own version of this (you can use our fake content or provide your own). Ive listed the key style elements in the next section, most important ones first.
Page #2 is exactly like Page #1, except the center column contains a full blog entry with comments instead of blog summaries. The left and right columns are unchanged from page #1.
Please see the attached mockup and detailed list of the key style elements.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
This web site discusses innovation in the wireless industry. It tries to lead by example. Our readers are tech-savvy mobile professionals, investors, and startups.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Please see attached files; the mockup provides a rough idea where we're going. We need you to fill in the details.
Am not scared of sites that use white space effectively, such as http://themorningnews.org/.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The key styles are listed in the attached Word doc. If you tackle them in the order presented and let us iterate a few times to evolve them, we'll do fine.
