LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We're a new enterprise software plug-ins company with a flagship product that essentially transforms data from an encrypted database (source) to an easily human readable format (target). We're looking for people who have cleverly disguised software complexities behind smooth, fluid and possibly funny or unique banner ads / graphics/ cartoons. People who have experience in designing high-tech banners or clever ones (ones with personality) would be ideal. A little horn-tooting here: we're rather witty and somewhat clever folks ourselves, however, sadly, with nary a bone of creativity in our bodies - which is why we're calling upon the excellent services of you Flash gurus.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
There will be TWO banners. One of the banners we'd like for to be humorous that demonstrates how this data transformation tool "tames" a database. The other more corporate-like that have "techie" transition effects of the CMS/Connect logo text and then some one-liner for each.
Specs: LEADERBOARD dimension banner ads
This banner should have an animation as described like this: A Dilbert-type / office worker character (http://www.pollypearson.com/.a/6a00e5519... ) is walking along a path - in the silhouette is just blades of grass + blue sky + clouds - - and when the character reaches a third of the way across the banner, a database cylinder ( http://www.icozon.com/upload/60/256.png ) falls from the sky and squashes/ flattens the guy and all you see are his legs sticking from outside of the left side of the cylinder and his eyeglasses on their own somewhere in the front sitting inside the grass with one cracked lense. On the cylinder it says "BOXI CMS" with just two slant marks for the eyes looking sinister. Then, from the right, a stick-figure / or some type of character that's obviously a cowboy (cowboy hat + bandana around the face/neck) comes onto the banner and takes a lasso ( http://www.newyorkpersonalinjuryattorney... ) and lassos the cylinder OFF of the office worker guy and throws the database cylinder off the screen and the guy stirs back up and grabs his glasses - and the caption goes from the office worker "
We'd like to have something SIMILAR to the Ab Initio flash intro: http://www.abinitio.com/abinitio/ab.nsf/... except perhaps using darker colors maybe?
This banner should have text placement that follows this monologue. The first line should be displayed and then when the next line starts, the first line should scroll to the top before the next one starts, and it should continue until all lines of text appear across the leaderboard flash. Each line has items separated by a period. Or "blah.blahblah." This means that "blah" fades in. And while blah remains on the line, "blah blah." fades in afterward, after blah. so now the line reads "Blah. Blah blah." and so on.
Actual banner content
background: black, text color/font: you choose
"4 CMS Databases. 11 Servers. 4 Environments" "
"DEV, UAT, QA, PROD
"4958 Users. 47 Universes. 6726Webi Reports. 321 Crystal Reports"
"210 Folders. 97 failed instances. 129 recurring schedules. 11 pending reports"
"21 publications. 7 custom roles. 2 weekly Import Wizard migrations. LDAP Integration"
"132 Crystal Reports. 12 Event Triggers. 8 LCM Jobs"
"192 VIew On Demand. 673 Viewers. 912 Not Specified. 443 Schedulers"
--- then text disintegrates/fades out or something ----
--------------- then in bigger font and new transition the following text appears across the whole space -----------------
"# of ways to report or analyze this data in the CMS: 0"
now, while this text is still there, make it blurred/faded to the background and then overlay the text:
"Actually, make that 1"
and then fade out the "Actually, make that 1" and then, bring the previous text that's blurred/faded back into the foreground and cross the 0 out with a red line and make it "1"
----------- and now fade out all the text, bring it back to black and then fade in light blue/white and then a flame/burst similar to the existing intro at http://www.infolytik.com :
"CMS/Connect - the only real-time reporting and analysis solution for the SAP Business Objects CMS" and while that's still on the screen, on the next line, a "Watch it now" button that directs to a URL still to be determined.
We still need to work out some text/captions for BANNER 1 and some logo transitions/cubism/particles animation for BANNER 2 (see attachment of particles - we might want the "CMS/Connect" to start as particles and transform in to the "CMS/Connect" text -- I don't know, really. This is where you need to guide us. (heck, we might be completely wrong on it all - you tell us!).
We'll be very responsive to the creatives need for quick feedback and evaluation.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Business managers in IT, Business Intelligence specialists for the SAP Business Objects line of products. ( see this link: http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusiness... ).
COMPETING LOGOS / HEADERS ARE AT:
...at the TOP RIGHT. This is the location where we plan on putting these two banners. As you can see, the existing banners are decent but we really want to strive beyond them - with your help!
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We really like the flash intro with these guys:
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
BANNER #1: this is up to you - I think we've described the animation enough
BANNER #2: we want transitions and the "starting in dark, ending in light" theme
