LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Design for 550 Pixels wide length is not limited
Youre designing an email document. This email will be sent to our database inviting people to attend the training, and offering them a special $25 off the price of the event. Our goal is to drive people to our Web site where theyll get more information about program, and then hopefully enroll.

A computer - and/or mouse
Creatively typed words -- like multimedia video animation i.e., advanced things youd find in a wow em PowerPoint presentation
A podium or presentation area
Graphic Images NOT acceptable for use in this document:
Microsoft-owed images of the software box and/or colors, or other protected images owned by Microsoft. We have the right to conduct the training we do not have the right to use their protected images.
Do NOT use images of people in any way (no photos no illustrations)
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Anyone who uses PowerPoint -- Sales People, Trainers and teachers, HR folks, Accounting Profesionals who present data, Business Owners and leaders, etc. ... and the administrative professionals who might be putting the PowerPoint presentations together for these folks
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I Like These Web Designs
(this might give you an idea of how bright and ELECTRIC I imagine this email to be)
http://www.k11.com.br/2008/flash/ (great use of texture and color on pre-entry screen)
http://www.formativeinnovations.com/ (love colors)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Ive typed the copy in a way that shows what I want emphasized on the email the larger and bolder the text, the more it needs to pop. Its all relative so use it as a guideline.
Make sure that the special offer SAVE $25 pops
Make sure the word PowerPoint in the title is the largest visual on the document
Use bright, colorful images Id love to see some depth created by using vibrant backgrounds that really pop. I like the idea of having it feel like at event like when youre at a concert or a big show and they have all the colored lights lighting up the stage.
Readability is key be judicious in your use of reverse text (dont use it for small text and dont use it if youre not using a high-contrast background so that its easy to read).
Id like a little technically HIP design for this email. It needs to look FUN!
