LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are CompEd Solutions a division of Rockhurst University Continuing Education Center, Inc. and we have been providing business training to professionals for 25 years. Through our CompEd Solutions division, we offer computer skills training. Weve been conducting Microsoft Excel training for more than a decade now. This course is our advanced course and it is attended by a wide variety of business users who typically have some experience with Excel but are looking to take their skills to the next level.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Youre designing an email document. This email will be sent to our database inviting people to attend the training, and offering them a special $25 off the price of the event. Our goal is to drive people to our Web site where theyll get more information about program, and then hopefully enroll.
Graphic Images Acceptable for use in this document:
Charts and graphic images
Computers keyboards mouse
Graphic Images NOT acceptable for use in this document:
Microsoft-owed images of the software box and/or colors, or other protected images owned by Microsoft. We have the right to conduct the training we do not have the right to use their protected images.
Do NOT use images of people I want people to look at this email and immediately know its about using a spreadsheet software.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Pretty much anyone who uses EXCEL ... oftentimes they're folks who work in an office setting.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I Like These Web Designs
(this might give you an idea of how bright and clean and simple I imagine this email to be)
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The type in the boxed area is the stuff I want featured on the email I do want the remainder of the copy there, but it can be relatively small.
Make sure that the special offer SAVE $25 pops
Make sure the word EXCEL in the title is the largest visual on the document
Use bright, colorful images preferably of different types of charts and graphs.
Readability is key do NOT use much reverse type for any text smaller than 12 points (i.e., -- if you use reverse type in your design use it ONLY for headline and subhead copy)
Id like a clean, easy to read yet a little technically HIP design for this email. It needs to look FUN!
(By the way -- at the end of the project if your design is chosen, I'll need to have a layered PSD document that we can edit ... and I'll need you to provide the source of any images you used in your design -- as well as name the fonts used).
