Target Audience
What is your industry?
Software and InfoTech
Describe the target audience for your ad banner design
The typical user or decision maker is a person working within IT or with product development (still within IT). They are 40+ in age and typically have the role of a project manager. There range of technical skills is very wide. Some are hardcore techies and other have low computer knowledge (but are good project managers). Most are probably somewhere in between. Gender is 50/50. The ads will primarily be used in the US.
Our customers are mostly within insurance, finance, public sector which means we don't work with the latest Silicon Valley hyped up internet companies (speaking in general).
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your ad banner design?
Trust - the ads will show on new markets which means this is about brand building and giving the feeling we are trustworthy and have been around for a long time.
No.1 - We are considered the No1 choice within our niche.
Call to action - this can be that they can "learn more" or "register a trial". This part shouldn't be too prominent (we don't want to look as a B2C ad) but still be there as an important element.
How is your company different from your competitors?
our tool is superior in usability so getting started with new projects is done in no time.
Style and Concept
What ad banner design styles do you like?
First of all, it should reflect the design we use on our web so the gap isn't too wide from clicking on the ad and coming to our web.
We prefer graphics and not photos.
What colors do you want to see in your ad banner design?
Again, the importance is to reflect the feeling of our web. Doesn't have to be an exact match, but visitor should recognize itself going from add->web
