LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a start-up company in the performance car part industry. We cater to car enthusiasts or do-it-yourself tuners. We already have various versions of our logo that can be used for the shirt design (see attached file)

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We're looking for a wide variety of design ideas that we can use to do screen-printing on t-shirts. The shirts will be mainly black, charcoal, or grey color (basically dark color shirts)

Please show us your own creativity and don't follow each other. We will award the winning design on CS but we will consider buying 1-2 other entries as well. So your odds of winning or selling your design are increased.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is primarily guys 18-34 years old. They are car enthusiasts or do-it-yourself tuners who may follow drifting, track racing, or rally racing. To get an idea of our target audience, you can visit www.raceinspired.org and browse through some of the images of past events. You can also browse through sites of race events such as http://www.formuladrift.com or http://www.rally-america.com/ to get an idea.

Given our audience, we're looking for a design that's strong, clean, bold, and modern.

WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:

We are looking for a strong, clean, bold, and modern design that use any of the variations of our logo, even some warping of the logo. We're open to your idea and concept. You can try texturing, blends, fades, gradients, layering, distressing, reverse blocking, drop shadow, outline, and abstract elements.

STYLING: Keep in mind though that we tend to like clean designs rather than busy designs. A good example of a busy design we DON'T like is this (http://www.afflictionclothingstore.com/E...). Other than that, be creative.

You can use imagery, outline, or silhouette of car(s) drifting or racing, or car parts, or tire tracks if you like, but this is NOT required. If you do, please DO NOT copy from others or use public photos.

We DO NOT want just a copy and paste of our logo onto the shirt.

COLOR: We're open to color suggestion, although our logo uses red and black (or red and white, the reverse of black). You can keep the design in 2 colors (not necessarily the same 2 original colors of the logo) or use 1 color if you like. NOTE: The less color, the better. The max should be 3 colors.

PRINT PLACEMENT: We're open to print placement. You can stay clean and traditional with the horizontal center design or be bold and modern with other placement on the waist, shoulder, or continuous from front to back. NOTE: The max print location for each shirt would be 3 (for example, front, back, side). While we prefer less print location to keep product cost reasonable, we'll leave it up to you to balance great design with the # of print locations needed.

Please give us a visual of your design using a photo t-shirt template such as those at http://www.blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/free...

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:

We have few restrictions, except that our logo needs to stand out for branding purposes.

To keep screen-printing production cost reasonable, your design MUST be limited to 1 to 4 spot colors pixilated fades are fine - for shading or blending. Designs with LESS colors will be considered more favorably. We believe in Less is More.
