LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Kanu Hawaii is a 501c3 nonprofit organization building a grassroots movement for environmental sustainability, compassionate community, and local self-reliance rooted in island thinking and personal commitments to change. Kanu works to engage thousands of people across Hawaii in this effort first through changes in their own lives, then through collective action. Kanus movement-building model relies on an innovative mix of community education, grassroots organizing and Web 2.0 technology to empower the movements members. Please see http://www.kanuhawaii.org for more information (and visit http://www.kanuhawaii.org/meda for our recent commercials!).
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The tshirst will be for members and volunteers. So we'll need to be able to add the word volunteer on the design to distinguish between a member shirt and a volunteer shirt. We want to print on light shirt colors and are open to recommendations on ideal shirt color.
We would like two different versions:
One: The creative version
For the first version, there are no limits. Create the coolest shirt you can think of. Use any style, any number of colors, place the design anywhere, front/back, you decide!
Two, the zazzle-compatible version
we need a design that we can upload to zazzle.com. They can only print in a specific part of the front or back of the shirt but can print in any number of colors. Ideally, we'd like to have the design in the front of the shirt to save on costs. However, we are open to front/back design options. We uploaded a picture that gives a rough idea where we can print on the shirts.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Kanu members. They are a diverse group of individuals from Hawaii.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Something that inspires, shows movement, is dynamic, is full of energy/hope/life, is happy, is radiant, is sunny, is joyful, is celebratory, etc.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Our logo must be a part of the design. If it can fit, we would like our website address. Optional, our tagline is "Where change takes root" which can go on the shirt. But we don't want to put too much if it will make the shirt look too busy.
