LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
The Discovery Educator Network (DEN) is the teacher community for Discovery Education, a division of Discovery Communications Inc (yes, this includes the Discovery Channel and such). It is a community of over 100,000 educators collaborating to find ways to improve education by integrating digital media in the classroom. Our top evangelists are our 4500+ STAR Discovery Educators. We support them by providing them professional development opportunities and training materials, and then they share the power of Discovery Education with other educators in their school, district and state.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Every year we do a Spring Training promotion. This year, every educator that uploads XX digital resources to share with other teachers will receive a t-shirt. Our logo will be on the front of the shirt, and we are looking for a creative design for the back. Obviously 'Spring Training' is a reference to baseball, but also that the heart of the DEN program is teachers training other educators in the power of digital media in the classroom.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Tech-savvy educators. Primarly, our audience is K-12 teachers and tech coordinators. We are a tight community that works hard but also plays hard.
If you'd like to learn more about the DEN and our community, visit denblogs.com and dencommunity.com
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Don't have any in particular. We're looking for creative ideas!
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
We would like designs to contain both:
"DEN Spring Training 2009"
and
"If you share it, they will learn"
Designs should contain those phrases and have a general baseball and/or education theme to it.
If you can think of a better tag line than "If you share it, they will learn," suggestions are welcome and feedback will be provided.
Please note, for legal reasons, do NOT include any Discovery logo, mention the word Discovery, or make any direct reference to any Discovery Channel content for this design. That's not what we're looking for in this design.
