Dillon Dam Brewery
What do you do?
The Dam Brewery is a busy, successful Brewpub in the heart of ski country -- Summit County Colorado. We are located next to the Dillon Dam which forms Lake Dillon Reservoir. We serve thousands of visitors and locals every month. We brew almost 2,000 barrels of beer per year and serve over 70 menu items on our popular menu. We are primarily a restaurant which brews beer. The snowsport resorts of Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain are in our area as well as several mountain ranges and wilderness areas. We serve guests who come to the mountains to recreate (ski, snowboard, mountain bike, hike, sail, raft, etc -- adventure sports), enjoy mountain beauty and drink craft beer. Fun inspires us and is why we do what we do. We believe in great hospitality for all including families. We have been in business over 17 years.
List the size requirement(s) for your clothing design
Designs have to work on S-XXL adult t-shirts both mens and women's. Women's specific designs should flatter a woman's figure. Designs can be for the front, back or wrap around. We are looking for something cool and exciting.
What is your industry?
Food and Beverage
Describe the target audience for your clothing design
Men and women ages 21-55 primarily.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your clothing design?
Style and Concept
What clothing design styles do you like?
Here are our current offerings. http://shop.dambrewery.com. We like Kona Brewing's shirts --easiest way to see them is google search for kona beer t-shirts > images. But we aren't looking to copy cat that style. Our Van Gogh shirt is a top seller partly because it is funny, but also because it is interesting. We carry some classic styles, but we are looking for something new and creative.
How many colors should be used in the design?
What colors do you want to see in your clothing design?
Open to suggestion. We usually go with this season's current t-shirt color palette from the t-shirt vendors and the standards: white, black.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your clothing design?
No restrictions really.
What adjectives should best describe your clothing design?
Fun, memorable, sparks memories of good times in the mountains both winter and summer. Has a little twist to it -- tongue and cheek, but not tongue and cheese. Friendly, we bring or create the Dam party and want to have Dam good fun. Reflects our mountain location.
How will you use the clothing design?
We sell our shirts at the Dam Brewery and through our online store. We may also use it for very limited edition labels for very small runs of beer (less than 200 labels). These are 22 Oz bombers of specialty/seasonal beers that we sell only at the brewery -- so no distribution. If the artwork is good, we would like to feature it on a label -- so verticals work better than most horizontals. We might also use it on barware or souvenir collectibles. We will probably put it in the menu too as a small version.
What must be included in the clothing design?
Must: Dillon Dam Brewery. Maybe: Dillon, Colorado or Colorado.
Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
We are looking for a number of designs to help our retail line. We need an influx of fun. Using the word Dam can get carried away -- but don't limit a good idea. We think we would like designs which feature our local recreation: ski, snowboard, sailing, kayak, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, mountain climbing, mountains, streams, wildflowers, old cabins, wildlife maybe. Yet, we don't want to limit ideas. Here are a few items we would like to see some ideas on. These are beer names.
Also the phrase Just Doing My Dam Job -- we have a vintage sign with a beaver on it, but there must be other ideas. We are looking for things that people can truly relate to, so they have some universal qualities. Main website: http://www.dambrewery.com.
