Business Name

Empower Schools

What do you do?

We work with policy makers; municipal, district and school leaders; and education innovators to re-engineer traditional school systems into diverse, education ecosystems. Our work includes serving as the strategic advisor to a district wide turnaround effort, advancing local and state policy to foster more pioneering district transformations, and incubating new ideas to accelerate the pace of education reform.

Do you have a desired website screen size?

Currently a wordpress site. Standard size is fine.

How many pages (maximum of 4) do you need designed?

Unsure. Would like to see 4 (homepage, about us, our team, our work), but would also be interested in seeing a single page (scroll down). Not sure if people can download documents from a scroll down site though?

What is your industry?

Education and Universities

Describe the target audience for your website design

We want to communicate innovative and pioneering ideas as cleanly as possible to people who are involved at a high level in public education. The vast majority of visitors to our site will be policy makers, education nonprofits, national funders, and other leaders in the education sector.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design

1. we're innovative/cutting edge
2. we're pioneering a 'third way' between traditionalists and 'corporate reformers'
3. we're crisp, clean

How is your company different from your competitors?

1) we catalyze change by bringing together all of the disparate players (policymakers, funders, school leaders, nonprofit, etc) in order to increase student achievement
2) our approach is strategic (whole is greater than the sum of the parts), voluntary (not one-size-fits all), and flexible (meet people where they are)

What website design styles do you like?

clean lines, simplicity, and scroll down approach:

What colors do you want to see in your website design?

Our style guide uses Bebas Neue and Century Gothic Bold as fonts.
colors and can all be found in style sheet attached, along with a case study we're about to publish

What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?

no preference

What adjectives should best describe your website design?

What content must be included in the website design?

existing logo (and associated colors)
a link to a separate blog (or possibly just a different page on the same site)

Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?

our current site is which is the site we would like updated. over time, we'll want people to be able to download materials from our site.
