Last Call Productions
What do you do?
We host live team events in bars and restaurants all over the country. On the night of the event, we show up and host a two-hour long game show for all the teams (people bring their friends and play as a team) in the bar/restaurant. We have three products (types of events) that we host - Trivia (pub quiz), Tunes (name-that-tune), and Bar Buffalo (brain games and word puzzles). All three of these products/events/games are structured the same way, where teams think of an answer to the question, write their answer and point wager on a small slip of paper, and turn it into the host for scoring. People at these events compete for bar tabs and get very competitive and excited at the event (it's wildly fun and addictive).
How many pages of print design do you need?
We need ONE general poster concept that will be incorporated with each of our three product logos (see attached). Important: We will need three (3) total posters - one for Trivia, one for Tunes, and one for Bar Buffalo - using the same vintage poster design, but have the separate logos and color schemes.
List the size requirement(s) for your print design
The posters will be printed at 11x17.
What is your industry?
Bar and Restaurant Industry, Entertainment Industry
Describe the target audience for your print design
Posters will be displayed in bars and restaurants to promote the weekly events, so the target audience will be ages 21-60. Please keep in mind, though, that this poster needs to stand out from other flyers/posters that will be nearby.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
1. That we stand out. That we are something different.
2. That we are FUN!
3. That we are a professional company that cares about how we are perceived.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
Vintage poster art (i.e. - French advertisements, landscape illustrations, circus posters, etc.). See attached pdf for an array of examples. *Note - It doesn't HAVE to be vintage. We just like the idea.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
We would like to see an array of colors that match the style of the poster, but somewhat tailor the product logo for that poster. So, for instance, since the Trivia logo is blue, the Trivia poster should complement the blue shades more.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Fun, Easy-to-play, Exciting, Addictive, Mysterious(?), Trendy, Intriquing
How will you use the print design?
It will be displayed on windows and walls in bars and restaurants, next to other flyers and posters.
What content must be included in the print design?
As for the general poster concept, we are thinking something vintage-looking (see attached pdf) combined with the Stump! poster concept (attached). What is great about the Stump! poster is that it shows what the teams/participants do at the events - have fun playing the game and enjoy visiting with their friends.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT blatantly copy the Stump! poster, but please use this as a reference and know that the Stump! poster concept is very similar to what we are going for.
We are not completely set on a vintage look, so PLEASE submit an entry for ANY ideas you have.
To save you time, the best idea would be to submit an entry/idea using only one of our products (Trivia, Tunes, or Bar Buffalo) and we will tell you if we would like to see the concept done with the other products.
IMPORTANT: Please have the product name and logo (i.e. - TRIVIA with the Trivia logo) incorporated into the poster design, but leave a blank space on the poster somewhere for us to add the day and time (i.e. - Wednesdays 7pm) of the event - do not just make a blank box, unless that matches the concept you came up with. Also, please put our website (www.lastcallusa.com) somewhere on the poster.
