Everyone who receives a pledge card package asking them to support United Way in our community. It is a very, very broad audience ranging from professionals to administrative support to trades.

WHAT ARE THE TOP 3 THINGS YOU WOULD LIKE TO COMMUNICATE TO YOUR AUDIENCE?

To explain, in simple terms, United Way and its importance in the community.

This brochure is intended to inspire engagement through a donation time/financial/advocacy and hopefully provide more information to a prospective donor. Not all donors are established supporters but may be prospective donors. This brochure needs to address both established and new audiences.

In most cases, this brochure is everything anyone wanted/needed to know about United Way and supporting your community. It may be delivered to employees following a group workplace presentation, or the package may simply be left on an employees desk.

Not only is a design concept expected, but your input as to copy to be included is also expected and must come from the provided Internal Case document.

Please stay away from depicting a dark, somber feel. Our materials are a reflection of the good that comes from a community united. Feel free to use bright colours and happy settings.

The attached pictures are low-res but feel free to incorporate them in the design. We will swap them with the hi-res versions once design in chosen.

Size restriction: This brochure must fit easily into an envelope that is 9.5 inches wide (across) by 5.75 inches deep (down). It is not the only item included in the envelope.

Financial Restrictions: Because this is printed in MASS quantities, we do not encourage die-cuts or special embosses, etc. We do not have the resources to support anything of this nature.

Included with this request for design submissions is a document we call our Case for Support This is an internal document intended to educate our employees about current messaging and information they require to best understand United Way and, in turn, deliver that message in their day-to-day work for the organization.

This internal case should be used as your main reference material to create the design concept and pertinent copy for the collateral piece described below.
