LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
I own a company called General Lead (www.generallead.com). We specialize in three areas: Talent Delivery, Advanced Sourcing Services and Custom Recruitment Training. Basically, we help clients find candidates to fill open positions, and we train recruiters and internet sourcers.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Inside page layout and design for a new book. I want to get a good creative layout for my new book :"The Sourcer's Playbook." This book will be a training guide, a "how to" book for the staffing industry. I want the layout to reflect this with a "step-by-step" layout. I want to be able to capture images and drag and drop them into boxes already set-up for me in the layout, then add-in the caption/header and the text. I want the layout to have the feel of a tutorial and not a boring run of the mill book. It will be a very "visual" book with lots of pictures and screenshots - so the layout needs to give room for this. I have attached a few pages of a few magazines layouts that I really liked. I would like these designs to be used as the model.
I will need a few page layouts to use (to mix it up in the book). So, I am hoping to get a design and layout I like, then have a few variations of them to use within the book. This way every page isn't the same and I have variety in the book. I am looking for a consistent font, color and general layout though.
Ideally I'd like a "Table of Contents" page, a "General Article" page, and a "Tutorial" page. The tutorial pages are very key.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Recruiters, Sourcers, HR, Human Resources, Staffing, Consulting
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
Please take a look at the scanned attachments for the model of what I like. They may be a little hard to read (they are in black and white) but they are from two magazines: Makezine and The MacBook. Makezine is at www.makezine.com, not sure about The MacBook. I like there creative step-by-step, tutorial layouts.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Must say: The Sourcer's Playbook in the footer. Must have page numbers. I must be able to "use" these pages with ease in some sort of program. The layouts have to look nice, but also be useable as well. I use MS Office, but am very open to using other recommended software for producing this book. Designers need to tell me if you used something other than MS Word to produce the layout. Thanks.
