Business Info

Business Name

Bryan First Brethren

What do you do?

We are an American evangelical church, part of the Brethren Denomination. We are more contemporary than traditional.

How many pages of print design do you need?

one sheet, double-sided

List the size requirement(s) for your print design

To be print ready, I need a finished product at 300dpi or better that measures 8.5x14" with an additional .25" bleed around the edges (so the printing company can cut it to size).

Target Audience

What is your industry?

We are a church, looking to help individuals grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Describe the target audience for your print design

Audience is mainly caucasian, middle-class, midwestern Americans, ages 15-50. Family values and a contemporary theme are valuable.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?

This design needs to be simple, easy/clear to follow, and communicates a process (our process) that someone would get excited to begin.

Style and Concept

What print design styles do you like?

Print designs with one vivid picture in the background with layers and textures overlayed are best. We are using a water theme with our logo, so want to continue the brand. If you were to use water in some fashion to communicate our ministry flow, you could use something like this [http://us.fotolia.com/id/3271599] but don't use that actual picture unless you work on it a bunch to make it work with the rest of what we have.

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

Colors and theme need to be bright and follow those found in our logo and our website (www.bryanfbc.com)

What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?

I don't want to see a lot of dark colors in the background. The whole thing needs to be a lighter design (not washed out, but lighter, brighter). So large amounts of navy blue, burgundy, black, or dark reds shouldn't be used. They should only be used in moderation.

What adjectives should best describe your print design?

contemporary, bright, good flow, balanced, happy, encouraging, simple

How will you use the print design?

This item will be printed into a flyer we give our visitors to communicate our discipleship process (process for teaching people about how to live their life for Jesus). We'll also use it as a tool to help existing church people determine their next step for spiritual growth.

The purpose of this piece is to be a tool that we can help walk people through, but is also self-serving for visitors as a part of a welcome packet. They should be able to learn how our church will help them mature in their relationship with Jesus, wherever they are on the journey, all on their own. The details can come in the one-on-one conversations later.

What content must be included in the print design?

Im attaching a few files:
1.Our church logo
2.The rough Connect-Grow-Serve graphic I designed (which can be altered/redesigned if you keep the general "feel" of it)
3.Content to go on the flyer

Im looking at two sides to be included your this design so be sure to include both images in your submissions:
1.A Spiritual checkup/pulse side which helps a person determine where they are on the journey.
2.A church resource guide that helps the person, once theyve clarified where they are on the journey, what we have available to help them take their next steps along the pathway.
