Bonza Bike Tours
What do you do?
Bonza Bike Tours specialises in taking bicycle tours with tourists from all over the world. The main area of focus is based around Sydney, however, we also have tours in Manly as well. We rent out bikes to guests so that they can go on self guided tours based off the routes that we draw out for them.
In addition to the above, we take a large amount of Corporate Tours, ranging from Team Building to Custom made work place tours. We have recently started to break into the school excursion market, and as such have seen an increase to the amount of schools taking bike tours for their students.
How many pages of print design do you need?
This will be a map so a single page but utilising both sides.
List the size requirement(s) for your print design
I would like pricing for two different options:
Option 1: A4 page with designs on both sides of the paper
Option 2: A foldable A3 map. If we go this option then we may be able to fit all three maps on the one fold out booklet.
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your print design
We will be aiming to target mostly the fun tourist market who don't know their way around Sydney.
We mostly work with young couples/honeymooners or Young families. Ages 30 - 50
Our customers are mostly middle class, however we do take a fair amount of wealthy people as well. Very few low income earners
We do get tourists from all over the world, however the main 4 countries that we take on tour are:
United States of America
We have an even spread between male and female customers.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
A fun, laid back yet professional company that has a map which is of a similar style to our website: http://bonzabiketours.com/ and brochure which you will see attached.
After the tours we show the guests the tour route that they just took as well as various restaurants and places that we believe our guests need to see from a locals point of view. So we would need the map detailed enough to be able to show our groups the streets that they rode on and enough detail to be able to clearly mark the locations that we recommend.
We have guests that hire bikes from us, we need to be able to show them various routes of Sydney in enough detail so that when they are out there, they can rely solely on our maps for the route.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
https://issuu.com/jorbens/docs/westin_me... (This is a map of Melbourne, but we like their style).
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
Our main colours are blue and red. Feel free to add other colours which will work with these.
There are designated cycle ways around Sydney, we would like these to have their own dedicated colour.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Fun, Colourful, Detailed, Professional
How will you use the print design?
The main purpose of this map will be used to show guests with a pen where they have been on their tours, or where they might like to go on their own. It is rare that we would use this map without drawing on it, or at least pointing things out on it, for one of our guests.
The second purpose will be to show guests using a pen the various places they can ride on a self guided bike tour.
The main focus will be on the city map. The first link that I have in the print design styles shows all the areas that I would like this map to cover. However, I would like the Kirribilli area, as far as North Sydney, to be included in this.
The second priority map is Manly. This should focus on Manly, North Head and go as far as Freshwater and Curl Curl Beach. If you can add the Spit to Manly walk area then that is an added bonus.
The third map will be of the Bondi area. A perfect example of what i'm after for Bondi is the map in the sixth link in the print design section. It shows the city, north sydney, and the eastern suburbs all the way to Bondi.
If I could get a map that has all those areas then it will be perfect.
We would ideally like these printed on a pad (that you can tear off one map at a time).
What content must be included in the print design?
The various bicycle lanes in Sydney, including the new ones that they are going to build.
The Bonza Bike Tours logo and contact details.
If it can fit, then various photos from our promotional material
Street names and a "You are here" Marker for the Bonza Bike Tours store
As stated 3 different maps should be included in the final design: City (including North Sydney), Manly and Bondi. Here are a couple of examples of how this could be done:
- one one side of the printed material has the city map, and on the back side, you could have both the Manly and the Bondi maps
- one side could have the city and Bondi map, the back side could have Manly
