LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Project Salud y Paz is a mission/humanitarian medical and educational project in guatemala. I founded the project in 2001, and live in Guatemala full time. I am a dentist. I started there with one small clinic and myself. Eight years later we are trying to get clinics 5 and 6 on line and inoperation, we do community health training, have approx. 500 volunteers/year, doctoctors, nurses, dentists, surgeons, and other volunteers who work with us in the project. We just began our first pre-school. We work with the indigenous Quiche Maya of western Guatemala. Our project runs multiple clinics and a school. We serve approx. 25,000 patients/year. I am responsicle for raising all the funding, finding the equipment, and getting the volunteers, although I admit I do have good support staff on site in guatemala. We have been doing all publicity and publicatons in house (me) up to this point, but our organizations is now to the point we need professional look, professional publicity help, which is why I am turning to crowdspring for the first time.
I am the professional in teeth, you are the professional to make us look good in print. Make you a deal--if you won't pull teeth, I will quit trying to do your graphic design job! this is my first try at using a graphic designer so the project reward here this time is small. As a nonprofit our budget is always limited of course, but if you do a good job with this, then there are other needs we have. I do try to honor your skills and if we can develop a relationship here, more projects and more money will certainly come your way. I have always believed in paying reasonable fees for someone's work (but yeah, I want the best deal too.)
PS following the brochure, I will also need redesign of our present logo and full set of stationary. If you win, I will give ou first consideration of that project too. As I am new here I do not know if such an incentive is appropriate or not. If not disregard it.
It will probably be helpful is you visit our website at www.saludypaz.org for more understanding on what we do.
Wishing you Salud y Paz (health and peace)
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
I need this uploaded amateur brochure reset for print so that when someone gets it, it catches their eye, but most importantly catches their heart and they respond. I need you to redo the response panel on the back so it is a tear off part to gather contact info, name, full mailing address, and email address of those who respond.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our personal mailing list of just under 1000 people, all of whom have either been on site to guatemala, heard me speak, or have some other concrete attachment to our porject. The brochure will also be used as first contact piece for anyone interested in Project salud y Paz, and used when I make my speaking tours as a hand out piece. I need it to end up under a magnet on the refrigerator door at their home, and not in a trash can as soon as they get the chance.
