LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a chip manufacturer ie. salty snacks including:
potato chips, tortilla chips, corn chips etc.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need package design concepts for standard chip bags that have a unique non-commercial look and feel. Not the over-hyped glitz of a Lays or Doritos bag. These are chips for the guy next door, the free spirit, you and me who have our tongues firmly planted in our cheeks...chips for the rest of us...snacks that aren't trying so darn hard to scream at us. The bag visuals and copy need to reflect that positioning, as the names of the products will be very simple...honest, ingredient based, not fancifully named.
The point is simplicity of concept and execution. These concepts need to be executable across a line of different products as mentioned above, so pay attention to the consistency of the concept across different products. We DO NOT want each chip type to have a totally different look and feel like the difference between the aformentioned LAYS and Doritos. It's the concept for the brand that needs to be clearly identifiable across all of the products.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The consumer of Salty Snacks is pretty broad 8 to 80 more or less. However we should probably be aiming our sights at the primary grocery store purchaser who is female buying for the family. Educated, savvy about price and quality, welling to try something new.
