Belt of Truth Ministries
What do you do?
Present seminars at churches
How many pages of print design do you need?
List the size requirement(s) for your print design
Exact size of standard dvd casewrap.
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your print design
Christian parents or grand parents.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
1. The visual should communicate instantly that the topic is parenting.
2. My text info may already do the job, but I really want folks to know that this is a dvd that reports on the factual research findings on the kind of parenting that has produced solid Christian adults.
3. That this dvd is presented by Belt of Truth Ministries / Scott Ritsema, presenter of the Media on the Brain Seminar. Use your best judgment about whether the logo/imagery from Belt of Truth and Media on the Brain (see attached) litters the project too much. If possible, I'd like to include some of those graphics to brand our ministry group and remind folks of our previous work.
BTW...the fact that it's being carried by Christian book stores already implies that it's Christian, so no need for lots of blatant Christian symbolism.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
Well, this dvd casewrap that an awesome creative did on crowdspring has been EXCELLENT for us. This is an example of something that I like. http://mediaonthebrain.net/store.html
I'd say that anything that catches the eye of a viewer and makes them want to see what it's about is what I'm after. Sometimes if the image has motion to it that helps.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
I could see a green concept working well, green implying growth of a plant and thus growth of a child. I'm not married to the green idea.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
I'd say avoid the blue-glow-of-the-tv color used for the Media on the Brain DVD. Avoid too masculine or too feminine of colors, since this is about raising boys and girls by both mom and dad.
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Combining the STRENGTH of firm principles with the TENDERNESS of love for a child.
How will you use the print design?
Have DVD replicator print and insert into plastic casewrap of dvds. Sell dvds after our seminars and in Christian bookstores.
What content must be included in the print design?

(somewhere, perhaps in the corner, I'd like it to say from those who brough you Media on the Brain and use Media on the Brain imagery for that)
SIDE of dvd: Title - Raising the Remnant
BACK: The following text with perhaps an echo of the cover imagery on back.
Over 75,000 parenting books have been published in the last two decades alone - that's nearly 10 books per day!
Indeed, opinions on parenting abound, but are there any solid facts to be found? Are there any objective data that identify the kind of parenting most likely to produce spiritually strong young adults?
Yes! Recent research has indeed painted a remarkably clear portrait of the character, values, and practices of parents whose young adult children are now thriving spiritually. Raising the Remnant not only reports on these Geroge Barna research findings, but also uncovers that this very same traditional advice was given in the 19th century!
While there are no guarantees in a universe of free will, the principles in this dvd will provide your children every advantage in becoming the spiritually strong remnant in the midst of a spiritually lost generation.
You're sure to walk away from this fast-paced, information-packed dvd with practical and proven time-tested success strategies from real Christian families.
