LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a film production company in need of an original design for one of our films. The design should help the film stand out in the theaters, bus shelters, dvd stores, etc. We are excited to be a part of the crowdspring idea and hope that we can bring bigger projects here as well.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need to create a "One Sheet" movie poster for one of our films called "Sordid Things"
(One sheets are the most common among poster sizes: (27" x 40"): One-sheets are the most popular among movie poster sizes and represent the standard movie poster size used in U.S. movie theaters.)
This design must help tell a story, compel an oversaturated audience to be curious and select the film or dvd to watch.
I have uploaded:
-Our current "film festival" poster
-Examples of genre posters (just as an idea, but really free reign...)
-Production photos
-HD still frames from the movie (The best as far as images, may not be as hi res as the still however)
-Our Logo
We will also send a copy of the film, pre-release to the winner.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Sordid is a suspense thriller with complicated relationship double crossings involving a surrogate child, an ex-con, a distant cousin and a couple of personal injury lawyers.
This film plays well to both men and women, though it trends better with women. In addition to its theatrical life, it would make an excellent Lifetime Original film for example.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I have uploaded a broad selection from Netflix, but in general we are looking to showcase some of our best assets. Alex Kingston is well known and regarded for her role on ER. She is the lead in this film and should be featured. I have uploaded a few images of her as well as some of the other cast members if they can be used as well. Other iconic/graphical items that would be relevant to our film include: in-vitro related imagery such as sperm/egg cells, a sonogram, a gun, a jail
Subject matter includes: a cheating husband, a conniving young woman, an young inmate, blackmail
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
I have uploaded our festival poster for reference as far as the "billing block" which is the type block at the bottom of the poster. All names and titles currently on that poster must be present, in that order on the new design.
Also, the four stars that have their names above the title on our current poster, must have their names above the title on the new design. Their fonts must all be the same size as well.
In addition, please include the Rogue Logo near that block. You may use that logo in color, or in b/w but not any other color.
The website for the film : http://www.sordidthingsthefilm.com/
should also be on the poster. If you are going to include a tagline, it should be "What would you kill for?" This is optional.
