LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
BTTB (my company) have been appointed as sales agents to sell products developed by a major consulting firm which provides benchmarking services to buyers and sellers of professional services (Lawyers/Accountants etc). The Legal Corporate Beacon is a report generated from many 1,000's of interviews with clients of law firms, that allows a prospective corporate buyer of legal services to benchmark/compare/rate the performance of legal firms in different areas of speciality (eg: Mergers & Acquisitions, Litigation, Contract Law, HR Law, IP etc.). The reports also allow buyers to assess the performance of legal firms by geography. being based in Australia and only relating to the Australian market, this means that a buyer can compare whether for instance, the litigation team in Melbourne are pecieved as being better than in Sydney, and most importantly, how they compare with other law firms in those markets.
Having this hard data on the performance of the legal firms allows a buyer of legal services to:
1) Negotiate based on real prformance data (eg: "you are currently chaging us top dollar for litigation services in the Sydney market, but in gact according to the corporate beacon you are only the 7th rated best firm at litigation in Sydney. Don't you think you should reconsider the fee structure?")
2) Use the benchmark information to improve the performance of their external legal providers
3) consider with better information whether they are better using internal or external legal resources.
The Legal Corporate Beacon is a relatively expensive product. It is therefore only going to be bought by professional procurement people (corporate buyers) from large corporations with a very significant legal spend (ie: in the many millions of $$ per year)
It is a quite unique product, that until now has only been sold to the Law firms themselves, who use it to look at areas that they need to improve and get a better understanding of how they are percieved in the market. While The Legal Corporate Beacon has been in existence for quite a few years, this is the first time it has been made available to buyers of legal services.
I have uploaded sample slides from the reports and also an overview document detailing the package inclusions.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We are looking to creat a full page advert for a magazine called "Procurement Professional". This magazine is the official publication for the peak professional body for the procurement profession, CIPSA, and as such is circulated to leading procurement professionals throughout Australia and New Zealand. It is therefore a targetted and sophisticated audience, who know how to buy and know when they are being sold to! Examples of the magazine can be found in digital format (looks like the real, hard-copy magazine) at http://ppdigital.pponline.com.au/
Further background on the magazine and the audience can be found at the publications supporting website www.pponline.com.au
The advert will be A4 portrait (Full specifications can be found in the Procurement Professional Media pack at - http://www.pponline.com.au/resource/Proc... )
I have uploaded proposed copy for the advert, which should give some hints as to some of the ideas I have in mind (beacons shine light on things!)
Pease read the copy before commencing design.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Procurement Professionals from large corporation and government departments with significant annual spend on legal services. For a fuller understanding please follow some of the links in the "what we need section"
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I don't have any favorite designs want to submit. This is our first advertisement for this product and i want to start with a clean slate. I have uploaded the logo for the legal corporate beacon. Obviously this should be included in the advert and migth therefore affect choices of colours and fonts used.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
I am really open to all suggestions. While I have uploaded proposed copy for the advert, I am interestd in ideas that improve it or convey the message more effectively. I have also updated further information about the Legal Corporate Beacon.
